if that big update is still coming, any chance of giving the pulse rifle an underbarrel grenade launcher with CE's underbarrel system?

on 1.5 no CE i find the mg3 to outshine too many other weapons due to it's range of 42 with 10 shot burst count, personally, i would lower to maybe 29 or 30. it may just be a combo of yayo's combat and VCR thats making it feel so much better but just the range stat makes me tilt my head compared to rimsenal charge weapons or VE charge weapons.

I'm just now updating to 1.4, and find out the StG 44 has been removed. That was one of my favorite guns, and it would be nice if it were returned here with a separate [def] for compatibility.

I see it's in another mod, but getting over a dozen weapons from that mod just for the sake of one seems wrong to me.
I would not appreciate them, but I like all the guns in this pack.
It is what it is, and maybe I will try to mod that gun back in myself.

With CE there seems to be no G-98 to craft. I researched charged shot, but can't find the recipe at either bench. I looked in the CE patches and there seems to be no patch for the G-98. Could you add it please? I really like the G-98.

@Sturm Pionier check out big and small genes, they made it so the big gene holders can carry heavy weapons like their in a war casket.

Hi harkon, i love your mods but im not sure why the sr-25 is not appearing in my game. Im not sure if there are other weapons that are not appearing. Any help would be appreciated, Lmk if you need my mod list and logs. Thanks!

Harkon, can you please buff the M41A Pulse Rifle? It's range is super low and it's really competitive even though it should be a highly capable high end weapon.

G-98 handgun should be fixed but I am unable to replicate that error @Jan2607 you can send me a save file of your colony on discord so I can troubleshoot it better

As I mentioned in November, I'm getting an error. The guys over at CE told me, that's something you have to patch. Any chances on that?

So I crafted the G-98 handgun, because the info page says I can use it with a shield.
But when I equip it on my shield guy the game says he has a two handed weapon and a shield?
Any chance someone has looked into this?

CrackaJack - It's well balanced in Combat Extended. The range is comparable to other HMGs, and in every other way except for damage output, it's worse.

Pros: High damage output; about twice what other HMGs do per bullet.

Cons: Literally everything else. Compared to other HMGs, the ammo is about six times as heavy and bulky, the gun itself weighs four times as much with half again the bulk, it's got the worst sights on any gun in the game, the recoil is atrocious, and it's got a third more sway than other HMG.

It's a gun that trades literally everything else for damage output. In ideal circumstances, it's great, but it's got serious drawbacks that need to be played around. Vanilla combat just doesn't have the systems in place to model why shooting a crew-served weapon from the hip is a bad idea.

this m2hb machinegun has 45 range, and 35 damage. thats sniper level^^ slightly overpowered considering the fire rate, imo

It seems that M16A4 name (label of item) is the same as the new name of the vanilla assault rifle (= M16A4) after patching by core mod.

Update
- Fixed the problems with the VEF patches, works with existing saves.
- Included .dds textures for those of you using mods like Graphic Settings, should improve load times, quality and performance of the mod.

1.3 UPDATE
- Report any stuff that I might have missed.
- Mod requires "enable oversized weapons" instead of using the old "oversized weapon dll".
- You may get some harmless errors on first load.
- You will get a duplicate research project while I update the rest of the smaller gun nut packs.
- Description will be properly updated at a later date.

The main part of the rework (new textures, settings to disable individual guns, rebalance, new guns, etc) was put on hold due to the fact that I have no time right now to put into modding, you can expect more updates and new mods around the holidays or when I get a breather.

the M202A1 is too weak , and in fact it can also be loaded with M72A1 HEAT shell
just a suggestion anyway
