we need one to cut arms only, i dont want to get rid of my character's legs (they'll lost they shoes drip)

Can i only cut my arms instead of 4 limbs? I'm trying only cutting my character arms but so fsr he just lost one.

I made a sibling mod: Surgical Med Bay https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2899477734 this one has all torture screams disabled.

The pain dialogue does appear in towns not owned by the player. When you have your own base/town the cries are turned off. We have only one function for amputation and it is the peeler, all we modders can do is to dress it up with these little gimmicks.

just a weird note here, currently running a nice collection with your mod and the machine worked just fine off npc power. i doubt anyone has had any issues but, also figured id let you know

@Mr D Grim unfortunately the game does not have a function for selecting a limb. What you can do, is somehow get the desired limb more damage to it than the other limbs and then put them in this table. You would have to be quick to remove the char after the one limb drops tho.

Can you select which limb gets amputated?

I apologize to @Cattrina, I fear it's just an issue with the base game. it seems lots of people had issues with crashing in Mongrel, it just appeared at the same time I built the peeler. Mod works fine!

To clarify further, I have it placed in Mongrel. Upon jumping to a character in Mongrel, it crashes the game.

I built it in one of the sheds in Mongrel and it was working fine for me. Though, only one would work at a time? As in, I tried building three, put a person in each, but only one started getting "peeled"

@Lord Korgoth yeah there really is not many options in the FCS for triggering the cries. I can only check against if I am in a player-owned town or not and removing all cries of pain. The latter would also remove the cries from the torture devices the cannibals have, thus rendering the experience ..eh... less.

thanks for replying, that way to obtain the effect i was asking is simple enough in the end: i had just to get "some" damage on the limb i wanted to cut, then use the peeler and wait for it to be removed before the others...

@Jeon, no, we have only the peeler function, and it cuts all limbs. We have no access to edit it.

@Mokaff it is not retextured, actually what part of old peeler is left uses the vanilla texture. It also changes it so the patient do no scream, so it is not exactly like peeler.

Patient doesn't scream while operation is being performed, 0/10 very bad peeler would not recommend

rename this mod to peeler machine retexture or people might get confused

@Dying Dark Star I mean that function is ready made and we can select to use it or select to use some other function. But we cannot edit the damage or to which parts of body the damage is directed. We either use the peeler function or we don't. There is no other function available that would do something like this. Modders cannot add, edit or remove coding. We have a bunch of Lego blocks we can shuffle. But the colors are ready set, we cannot add a pink block because it was not part of the set. Also we cannot add more bumps to the blocks. If it has six bumps, six it has. Not possible to add a seventh.

when you say "Unfortunately we cannot mod the function." are you saying that adding that function is not alowed or you'll have to code it in?
