I probably won't bring it back. I didn't like the playstyle the old dspecial encouraged.

Can we get a version that has the old down special? I used it a lot & liked it a lot. I don't use the new one much or like it much & I now use the neutral special & side special far less often since their interaction with down special is gone.

I just tested Iceball's complaint and it is not a linux issue. I use the runes F M N and got a crash to desktop with no log what so ever

It's a known bug; one that I don't really know how to fix myself.

I love this, thanks! Does anyone else get the crash in Abyss mode whenever any of the homing runes are enabled though? I've been crashing every time and I'm wondering if it's linux related or something else.

Regardless, it's a nice surprise that we can come to an understanding considering this is an argument on the internet about Touhou sexualization. Civility wasn't the expected conclusion.

That portrait actually just has a white line at the bottom of the shirt but I can see how that mistake could be made. I wasn't saying midriff is inherently sexual. Just that adding it to a character who doesn't have it when there's no reason they would is. I actually use midriff on some of my OCs in games because it's in character for them & I don't on others because it's not.

I meant to include "I don't care." in that one part of my post but I think I lost that part of my message when I was condensing it to get around the text limit on Steam. Sorry about that. In the context of my post, I feel like that part accidentally came off as me calling you a pervert even though as I mentioned in my previous post, there are nonsexual reasons that could've made it into the portrait considering using other fan art as a reference is a common thing.

But outside of that, yes its just popular in fan material. A lot of figures depict her with a midriff, and even the touhou fanime does. Its not like I shy away from taking pieces of fan material from the mod to begin with, considering I gave her a move from a fangame anyway. The mod was always intended to be my love letter to the touhou franchise and including some pieces of popular fan material I believe is a great thing to include in it.

So once again, I apologize for my rudeness, I was just very taken back by that statement, plus its midnight where I am so being slightly tired doesnt help much, haha.

Look, I'm sorry for coming off as overly aggressive, I'm just tired of getting flak for changing the portrait when I had my own personal reasons for that decision, that weren't just "I like this one more."

I'm also just kind of appalled at the statement that a midriff is inherently sexual though, her portrait aside. Women can wear a tank top or whatever if they really want to without it being an attempt to gain sex appeal. You're saying Touhou fans admit it is a sexually driven decision to depict her like that, but I'm pretty sure I could ask just as many people about it and they would say it isn't, so no disrespect to you, but I'm not sure if that statement has too much validity behind it.

If you want some instances of "canon" depictions where she could have a midriff though, her TH18 portrait might have one (though it could also be an undershirt of some kind), but I'm almost certain she at least has a little belly showing in her TH17.5 portrait.

I literally can't find even one instance of her having midriff in canon. Not even the one I mentioned earlier that someone once told me someone else told them existed in one very old game. I don't think your sources exist.

Though, it was unfair of me to say it was drawn that way for sexual reasons since it's possible you just asked Regina to draw Reimu, she looked it up, & she found fanart of her with a big midriff & she based her work off of that. Probably an easy mistake to make considering it's about as overdone as giving Sans a fur coat.

She doesn't have it in like any of ZUN's games or in this mod & I know you know that because your mod shows that you know more than the bare minimum about her. Even Touhou fans admit the midriff is a sexual thing invented by fans.

I don't know why you're so defensive about something you didn't draw. It's not like I insulted you or tried to make you change it. I just explained why it's strangely unfitting.

I even said it's a 10/10 mod otherwise. The portrait doesn't ruin it for me. It just bugs me when I see it because of the midriff & because the character herself bears no resemblance to Reimu so the combination looks like a bad cosplay. I still use her but I end my videos slightly earlier than I used to so the portrait won't show up.

Regina Reforged is a good artist. I've seen other characters & portraits by her. But this specific picture is bad for this specific mod. If you really thought I was wrong, you would've just said something like "Yeah, but I like it."

There are several sources where you can see she has it. Im not going to have it changed because, frankly, I just dont care enough. If you think its sexual, that's your own problem, I'm sorry.

I'd agree that it's minor if it were a small gap instead of a huge one in the shrine maiden themed outfit of a character who doesn't normally have a gap there at all. Like if for example, it were a character with a tank top & the tank top were just slightly shorter than usual. This is more like putting a crop top on a football player. But if that football player was a child.

Its not an attempt to give her sex appeal?? To be honest I didn't even realize she had a midriff at first, but I don't think I'd ask the artist to change the portrait over it, its a minor inconsistency that really doesn't matter that much.

I can potentially understand changing artists but why midriff? It doesn't fit the character or even match up with the in-game sprites? I'm aware that she apparently had a midriff in like one game a long time ago that took place in Summer but that's like having Link's portrait be him wearing the outfit he used to sneak into the Gerudo place in BOTW.

It just seems like an attempt at sex appeal, which just makes Reimu seem like a porn character or this seem like a porn mod if you haven't played played Touhou or haven't play this mod. Which is a shame because she's not, it's not, & the fandom has a bad tendency to make Touhou seem like porn with their misrepresentations of the characters.

Not that a midriff is super lewd but when it's so out of place, it stands out in a bad way & it makes it super obvious why it's there. It's like if a character known for wearing huge boots was barefoot for no reason. We'd all know why & it would be weird.

10/10 mod otherwise.

I think her frame data is pretty much perfect as is, its meant to be on the slower side cause of her excellent mobility.

Down B will explode a bit more if you hit it with yin-yang though!

Hey, great mod! Reimu's become a fast favorite of mine! My only notes are that I think her neutral B should do a bit more damage, her Down-B should travel a LITTLE further than it current does, and I think her normals and aerials could almost all do with a few less frames on them to make them a little faster!

The game crashes if Reimu tries to use a move effected by a homing rune.

Reimu's Alt Color 10 crashes the game when I try to select it.

she works fine in normal game play so it doesn't matter all that much anyway

I dont think theres a way to fix that, just use the standard training mode with her for now

ik im way late but alot of charicters break in training mode in the MAIN MENU > EXTRAS > STEAM WORKSHOP testing menu, it happens with alot of charicters with projectiles

It is my computer, I'm more than enough positive, but even characters that are sfx heavy aren't that bad, I tested on training and haven't on a real match because I'm testing a lot of character in a row
