Oh, it's a bug alright- if there is a big hole then it should not be airtight; it's just a limitation of the way the game is coded- everything it treated at a cube or rectangle, so as far as the game is concerned triangular windows are also cubes when it comes to air tightness. I don't believe they can fix it, even if they wanted to ( due to limitations of the physics engine or the ineptitude of the ksh team- spaghetti code ftw... ). Same reason why blocks that don't seal properly against surrounding blocks are still treated as airtight. Enjoy the wonkyness & put it to your advantage folks!

I understand what you're saying, and I understand the logic, so it's a intentional aspect of that component's design rather than a bug. But it still bugs me. Regardless of gaming logic, I still see an open space, and can move through that open space, but air can not. That bugs me.

Diagonal windows are completely sealed (they are treated as a cube or a group of cubes), except for the flat ones. If a face is sealed, the air does not pass through.
For example, take the diagonal block beside the diagonal window like in your station. their side which connect them is sealed for the diagonal window but not for the diagonal block. The result is there is no air leak thanks to a sealed side of the window. So basically there is a minimum of 2 sealed faces on the 1x1 diagonal window you used.

Now between the interior and the exterior, all four other faces are sealed because you would like to orientate the window to have the tinted side inside the ship/station or outside without having air leak.

The issue you met in your case is just SE doing his job, but not with the best method even performance friendly.

Sure, it's great for your application, but not so great when a simple geometry won't allow airflow past them. Here are the examples that I published for a bug report: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2263418311

Thanks all
@Crysis: Yes, that's also why I didn't put dakka on it^^
@Spaceman Spiff: I don't think it's a bug, the sealed property of tilted diagonal windows are very useful to build more conventional sealed cockpit designs like the front of this ship, as window glasses are modelled as cubes (like everything in the game) where one or more faces can have the seal property. Same for large grids by the way

That same window air vent bug is what allows you to have diagonal windows that hold air yet allow players to enter the two seats. I wonder if they'll ever fix that bug.

Nice to see another flying greenhouse in SE- welcome to the club :D

Cool ship, but one stray bullet will make it disappear. It's pretty for sure, and reliable without question. But it would not protect you from anything. Otherwise a great display piece!
