is there a way to include bnw natural wonder/resources into this? tried to fiddle with the lua script and nothing happens

Looks like there's an issue with the generation. The lakes don't generate with coasts, so any resources in them cannot be claimed under any circumstances cuz' you can't build work boats.

Probably unlikely this script's fault, it only generates the map. It doesn't touch anything done during turns.

This script seems bugged? Settling a city gives an immediate deficit of GPT making it unplayable.

Yeh, that would be cool, but they still give tile yields, so the AI just starts putting sh*tty little cities everywhere. Check out the version of this script for Beyond Earth for a little bit more variety.

i love this map script.
I would love to have more choices besides Snow and Desert. Such as tundra, swamps, fallout, flood planes...

This map script is designed to work with or without Gods and Kings, so the vanilla tag is accurate.

Oddity -- just started, researched Archers. Scout finds a Barb Battleship in a one tile lake surrounded by Moai. Poor Scout had no understanding for what was about to happen.:Uranium:

I absolutely love this map script. Anyone wanting to play against a maddening number of barbarians needs to try this out. Also: Adding the Barbarians Evolved mod will make this...hell on Earth. You have to try it!

Dumb question time. Is there any way to modify this to replace the "wasteland" with pure, unadulterated ocean? That would quite literally fix my only remaining beef with Civ V, that being isolated island maps.

Eh, not really feeling it. The purpose of this map is for your emphasis to be on your one main city. Exploration should be limited to locating other players, city-states, and maybe a few ruins if you're lucky.

Interesting feedback, Novu. I must have missed supporting a disable ancient ruins option--will put it on the todo list.

There is a certain number of connected water tiles that is required for a body of water to be considered ocean and anything below that is a lake. My script only generates lakes, which will not allow you to build any "water wonders" like Collosus or Great Lighthouse. However, I have noticed that city-states will continue to ask you to build these water wonders even when it isn't possible. Not sure if this is a bug with the game or my script.

This map script was rather enjoyable but I did find an odd bug. When selecting disable ancient ruins this script will still generate ancient ruins.
Maximum oddities does have some 'balls' to it I got to say.
In terms of feed back there should probably be a few more ocean tiles so I can build the great lighthouse wonder. On a huge map there was only one tile of ocean surrounded by moari statues probably generated from the oddities script.

This is an awesome map script... thank you! I've been playing on a huge map for the past few days and love the challenges that come with the civs being so widely spread out.

Havoc, see my reply to Samus a few comments down. I'm sure there are other things to do when mods don't download as well (like clearing the Civ 5 cache), but manual installation seems to be the most foolproof.

Sorry to be a pain but I subscribed and it doesn't appear in the list, but lake improvements does. Resubscribing hasn't fixed the problem, any ideas? I'm really eager to give this mod a good crack :D

It's actually called fallout and like jungle and marsh, it can be cleared. But see my discussion post for more on ideas using fallout.

There's a tile that is called "wasteland". It's what happens after you blow a nuke and it's pretty damn devastating.

I really enjoyed this mod, thoroughly recommend it, 10/10, would get for free again. If you could only add a "wasteland" option to the Dominant Terrain-thing, that would make it great.

You could use a file-sharing service like dropbox, or you know...just email it [www.snakebytestudios.com]. Whatever works for you. Save files are in My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\ModdedSaves\single . Archiving [www.7-zip.org] before you send would be preferred.
