unfortunatly i haven't modded Rome II in years, the mod is indeed defunct.

Beller, sparta really was a force to be reckoned with, they were trained since children and feared not death, but not dying, their goal was to die in battle while fighting for their state, they slaughtered other greek states and fought off invading countries.

Greatly overpowered mod, the spartans are stronger then any army in this. needs some toning down. also most tier 4 units can be made in a tier 3 barracks and comparable units are 70 gold more per upkeep. spartans were good but not that good. tone them down.

yeah.. your new units are not recruitable in the campaign. the spartan swordmasters are availiable as a general unit but thats it.. id like to know how to recruit them

For some reason the Spartan Swordmasters dont show up except for the two guys upfront, (Flag guy and shouty guy). they (The swordmasters) are there, but i just cant see them. Why?

New version of sparta rises, it isn't save game compatible so i made it a seperate mod.

i have updated it :/ it is still based on the old files but it does work, i will make an update with the new files tommorow, as i have off work

This is exactly what I was looking for before starting my "This is total war" play through. (Declare war on everyone you encounter and never sue for peace) for those who didn't know. This is the best mod ever, it is just what I needed.

Good mod, i've been looking for this kind of thing for a while. Problem is.. The spartan sword masters unit icon depicts a roman legionairy trireme or something. Would appreciate a fix for it.

hey so apparentlly this mode is out of date with the new update is there a way for you to up date that so it doesnt constantly say "you have an out of date mod. would you like to continue?"

Yeah the main reason for the identical cloths is to make them look like a military, but I think I can add more skins to them so they look more like individuals.....

Thank for the MOD dude, this just made my day, the extra units are great and well balaced. I've been looking for a MOD like this one for a very long time.

This is just a suggestion, but some of the units, kinda look a lot like clones. Is there a chance that you can add some variety to the units in their squads, for instance change the colour of the shirts under their armour and their cloaks, just to give it a sense of non-mirror images?

But I get it that spartans did not practice individuality.

at around 300 the spartans break with around 10 men left (ultra sizes) supposedly they never ran at all but....

Maybe some modification of morale? 350-450 Is to hight disbalance. And actually, sometimes spartans was running). You can make it around 50-90 ( levy and elite)
