5 years into the colony my pawns suddenly refuse to read.
even if my main researcher has nothing else to do and is just wandering around in boredom, if i send her to read a book for waterwheels or deepdrills or work clothing, she'll pick up the book and sit down with it just to drop it.
same with midas tomes and romans.

my modlist hasn't changed and there's nothing happening in the log.

What do the scrolls do?

@kuronekosama idk if that's what you're looking for but LifeLessons adds a bookshelf that I beleieve could be described as "tall" and it's updated for 1.6.

I didn't realize the bookshelves in this aren't compatible with regular books in the base game. After scouring so many mods to find a TALL bookshelf (of which I found zero other working options as of posting this) I thought I'd finally found the perfect fix. So this is just a PSA to anyone else who wants to use these to store say maps etc: They can't be used with these modded shelves, only the books made with the mod itself will show in the options.

Hi, i made a scroll at the butcher table, good quality no issue, but i can't store it anywhere on any shelves even the ones that came with your mod. It just says "Cannot return no storage" even if i allow all on a shelf or storage area lol.

I cheated in the electric papermaking table, and *that* one works. But the medieval non-powered table can't make any paper.

For some reason, I can't make pages at the papermaking table even though I've researched the tech to make pages

Is there any mod where you can rename the books?

Anyone else having an issue where colonists are completing books at the Typewriter Desk, and once it completes, the book vanishes.

How long does it take to write a skill book and do you need to have the intellectual skill to write it? Can you assign a pawn to train a certain skill through books on the work tab or some other regular way?

Has anyone found out what's causing non electric version of papermaking bench to not show any bills? I don't think I can point out any of my other mods that interrupts it. I really love this mod and would love my medieval pawns to make a lot of books...

I just created a masterwork skillbook and have three bookshelves empty, but it says no storage is available. Does anyone know what the issue might be? The storage window on the bookcases says it will accept all varieties of books.

@TheRedPriest After you have done the required research you can make Paper, Parchment and cloth paper in it. If you cant, then you have some other mod that causes it as it works with only this mod loaded.

As far as I know that's not part of a mod, that's just part of the vanilla standard option under all crafting devices.

@Ericus1 Its probably easier for the fix to be included in their mod instead as I cant do much about how they look for items

The "Look Everywhere" restriction for controlling the "Do until you have X" option doesn't seem to actually check bookshelves. I know it can check other kinds of storage, think you can fix bookshelves to be included there?

It has skill books also so yeah it's better imo

Vanilla expanded books seem more like skill books, while here theres more recreational books than skill books

Also don't have any paper making recipes on a medieval playthrough. Any ideas? Can't use the electric bench.

is this the mod that adds library as a room role? I dont think vanilla expanded books does that or have bookshelves.... Is it fine using both together? Or does something become redundant/clutter?

@aciel.samael Bookshelves are not general storage, they are specifically for items in this mod and do not use the vanilla hauling job
