the gun doesn't use ammunition, and doesn't fire a projectile or if it does the projectile does no damage

it has its own 7.92mm belt,looks like a strip of bullets

Well I went without any other mods but the four needed and neither MG would still work beyond being a glorified noisemaker but regardless, here is my mod list.

Okay I must have my first ever instance of mod confliction or something else because even after subbing and activating said mods as well as every other German weapon related one thereafter, I still only get the firing noise but no actual firing action.

i found the cause,it needs the K98 for the bullet to actually spawn,and the STG44 for the bullet model,sorry for the incovenience

Yeah same as before. Both the 34 and the 42 make firing sounds but don't actually fire.

I have the 34 activated too and it still wouldn't fire.

i will take a look,but i think you need the MG34 for this one to work

I think something might be wrong with this MG and the other one. It doesn't want to fire.
