Thank you, I reinstalled wallpaper engine and the GPU usage has since been lower. Thank you for all your help, you're a good person :)

Hmm... I'm not sure of the 1650's performance but I would expect it to be able to handle 30fps on wallpapers without much strain with a 1080p or 1440p monitor. But perhaps that is normal for that gpu. For this 1080p version Mafia wallpaper I just checked mine and it seems to sit around 12%-14% usage on a GTX 1080ti also be sure to close the wallpaper selection window as my usage was on 20% before closing that. If you still feel something is wrong though you could try resetting all the settings of wallpaper engine and reconfiguring it fully or uninstall then reinstall to see if there's any difference. Hope any is helpful to you :)

Thank you! Yes, it's strange, since I have the frame rate to 15 and I make it stop whenever I open an app (even when it isn't fullscreen). Even on video wallpapers I see the same high GPU usage.

I have all the graphical settings on to the lowest.
Hi, yeah this level of usage can be normal depending what the wallpaper is and your wallpaper engine settings. You can reduce the usage by reducing the wallpaper engine frame rate in the main settings as well as reducing other settings there, but frame rate can make big changes. Another setting I like to use is to pause the wallpaper when an app goes fullscreen (a game or app) This will make it so the usage will stop while you play games or whatever so there is no performance loss. Video wallpapers will usually tend to be less demanding on hardware as its just video playback, where wallpapers like this one have lots of dynamic actions happening that need to be rendered so typically complex "scene" type wallpapers will have noticable usage.

Hope this helps, and thanks for your compliment :)

Hey there! This is an amazing wallpaper, I love it.

I just wanted to say, that I've noticed a very high GPU usage (20-35%) on my GTX 1650 Super. Is this supposed to be happening or is there something wrong on my side? Even video wallpapers have the same high GPU usage.

Thank you

Still hopeful for that Performance Mode, hopefully you put it out soon for people that have even worse PCs or laptops than mine :P

Great! At least you have it sorted out now :)
And yes the iGPU getting fully loaded causes a lot of stress so makes sense it had this lag.
So I've tried using the 1060 as the main GPU, and the laggy cursor is no longer there :) This brought the iGPU usage from around 70% to around 20%, and the 1060 only has less than 5% of usage. Maybe the iGPU being almost at full usage kinda causes it to slow down 0.0
Yeah I've set that in the settings, when an application is in fullscreen mode, I've set it so that it pauses it.
Thanks that means a lot. I appreciate you saying the issues you have had too, those are helpful to know so thanks. One you thing you can do also (just a suggestion) is on the performance settings in wallpaper engine, set the playback setting to pause the wallpaper when an application goes fullscreen/maximised. That way there is no affect to performance at all when in games :)
Yeah I've tried the half resolution mode, no difference from the full one. I've also tweaked the settings around, still didn't help. I could use my dedicated GPU to run the wallpaper, but I decided not to as I'm worried it might affected my FPS in games. Honestly, the laggy cursor is not extremely impactful, it just bothers me a little. I can put up with it just fine! A nice wallpaper overall though ngl :) I love the responsive audio feature too
Oh since you mention laptop... You could make sure the GPU is being used for the wallpaper and not the integrated graphics from the CPU. That would for sure help if it is currently using CPU. Past that maybe check the quality options in wallpaper engine's settings maybe even try the half resolution mode for now if it helps. But yeah if nothing works then hopefully the performance mode I add will help you :)
Haha I guess it's cause I'm running it on a 1060 laptop :D I'm thrilled for that performance then. Hope it rolls out soon
Hey, yeah I'm sorry it sounds like there are probably just too many effects going on for your hardware. There are many rain effects on the window for example and it's likely the cause of your lag. Because this isn't a video wallpaper the gpu/cpu is processing all the effects that are going on.
I will be doing an update soon to this wallpaper, so when I do I will try to add a performance mode that disables some effects and you can see if that helps any. For now sorry about the performance , my only answer is for older/low spec hardware it will be demanding :(

Hey! I really loved this artwork! However, I've encountered a technical issue with it. For some reason, my cursor is lagging when I use this specific artwork, my cursor feels like it has an FPS of 10. I've checked the wallpaper settings, the FPS is set to 30, I disabled the Audio Recording as I hope to improve a little bit of performance, but to no avail. I've tried other artworks and they all work smoothly. Any idea as to what could be the cause?
