This mod doesn't completely mute everyone, however, as it allows the campaign-specific lines to fire (only from the game) and allows the player to use the default vocalizer lines (these being the simple concepts like no, yes, laugh, etc.)
If you ask me, the vanilla talker should work like this and only allow mods to let the player vocalize campaign-specific lines manually. Unfortunately this will never happen and if it were to, a majority of this game's playerbase would frown upon it.

Like the L4D1 survivors saying duck when the spitter attacks and the adrenaline interactions?
Just use both, they don't conflict.
