@ziza I honestly don't remember the game anymore, but if you use pack file manager, and go through totalwarcenter guides, it shouldn't be hard to tweak. but it's not an exact science due to lack of documentation and there are many, many variables that are just not working, so it takes a lot of trial and error.

nope, doesn't touch the battle system. I think I have a mod for that though, or maybe I'm subscribed to one? if I remember their name right, volcano has a mod for that.

Yes. For armies, the most noticeable improvement is that there'll be less ranged spam hence more balanced armies (with more cavs), for buildings there'll be more focus on region specialties and synergies, value of farms was also buffed quite a bit IIRC. For RotS (the part I worked on) there is more focus on fort development, higher tier military buildings and clan palaces (as mentioned in the description) and it fixes a bug causing AI to consider trade ships as light ships.

@Valmont FotS version is like 99% ready. There's one thing I wanted to test but never find to time, so I'll just upload two versions, probably tomorrow, at the worst on Monday.

Thank you for the mod! This game has so much more life left in it and i'd prefer to revisit it with without some of the less immersive aspects.

Hey, sadly Battle AI is mostly unmoddable. One exception is group formations though, I know Darthmod comes with a modded formations file. I'm not sure how good it is, I'll need to look into and test it, and if it's indeed good, I would need permission from Darth to incorporate that. On your particular issue, well in my games AI mostly forms decent lines, unless I have superior artillery. They pretty much lose their shit when outgunned, but it's probably for the best, I remember in older games they would just sit and wait to get massacred by the artillery. So I haven't seen them use rifle units to charge, but I'll keep an eye on that.

if its possible to make ai do actual line battle? cuz for me what they do sometimes is thst maybe only 4 or 6 units would do line battle while the rest with rifles would walk to my line infantry to melee attack. take note that they walk to my line infantry. idk if others are getting this issue but if u could make a mod to fix this... that would be great :3

So I finally got FoTS, and will probably update the mod for it around mid-March. Low chance anyone's following this but if you have any requests about FoTS, I can look into it. On my list are a) Suicidal allegiance changes: I'm not against AI switching allegiance when it makes sense, but a one province minor surrounded by pro-Shoguns going imperial is bonkers. Increasing clan reliability may fix this, we'll see. c) Army recruitment: This is fairly simple to do, expect much more focus on line infantry. d) More reasonable auto-resolve.

I tried it out anyway and it is savegame compatible and I highly recommend this mod to anyone who thinks the vanilla AI is a little crappy

Nope, it should be compatible with everything except other AI mods and total overhauls like Darth which also make changes to AI.

Does this mod have any potential mod compatability issues? E.g. Expanded Japan, Unit packs, STOTS.
