My colonies egg sacks kept disappearing, but my spider roster grew until I bought a whole batch of egg sacks from a trader and watched it hatch.
Here is the issue: Both spiders and giant spiders skip the spiderling life stage and spawn fully grown with a random age in years assigned to them.
The rest of the mod seems to work fine.
I thought it was working as intended, but then after an experience with another mod, I've realized that the spider silk item had not bee CE-ified.
I threw together a quick patch to change the stats of silk foe CE:
