Despite what the wiki says, I have run into like 4 of these guys and can't talk to any of them. I have all flavors of hivers in my squad. Gonna give this mod a try.

Where exactly in the kenshi-modding tool did you add the dialoges? When checking for the "lost drone" character I only see "Fresh Ronin" with "Npc HIVER Ronin - Complete Package" as a parent. I cannot find your dialog option within them. I want to tweak some little things within your great dialogs. Would be great if you could point me to the correct dialog options. Thanks for your mod!

decided to play as an exiled hiver, and survive in the very ass (in the wreckage). The only records I can get myself there are the lost drones. I even found one when the prince pulled him out of the store. but after 20 in-game days, I no longer encountered a single lost drone in the vicinity of the hive. Tell me, do they appear right on the territory of the hive? It would be plausible, but I'm afraid it's not =(
how often do these characters appear? Are princes or soldiers driven out of the hive? After all, they can also be defective, like workers =) If not, maybe someone can suggest such a mod?

Lost Drones can join the player faction if they encounter a Player Outpost or a Hive Worker Drone player character. Once recruited, they will have the "Player HIVER Ronin" Dialogue Package.

It also seems like they have unique dialogue with beep specifically.

But lost drones are already recruitable. I hired one last game i had, its just rare.

EuchreJack depending on which dialogue option that is triggered the done may want 3000cats just so the queen will not get mad you are using their services while they are gone.

I did not want a 100% Recruitment chance as this is Kenshi and it is not meant to be that easy. so i gave it the same chance to join as a freed slave.

Hm, instead of having the chance at triggering be a percentage, what if it was based upon having a certain amount of money in the bank? If I'm some starving band of vagabonds, the Lost Hiver would be right to move on by, but if I've got 10,000 cats in the bank, then its really me helping them. Not that the Lost Hiver actually costs anything, just that they need to see that I can afford to equip them properly.

Or at least add a 100% option by paying 3000 cats. I really do feel bad for these folks sometimes.

Crux I feel the same this is Kenshi if you want a easy this is not the game for you. I think I am going to go with your suggestion on changing the repetition limit to 1 week.

I'd personally set the repetition limit to 1 week. As in DR_LONG_1WEEK, but I am a person that likes free recruits to be super rare. A search of this workshop shows that a ton of people feel the opposite from me (see recruit anyone mods) so don't take my opinion, lol.

Crux I have been a bit worried the 25% chance is a bit high and thinking of setting the repeating the recruitment dialogue to once every 12 in game hours.

Dialogue Expansion Project adds this, which I didn't like personally. Eventually you gotta turn these poor bugs down. Vanilla has this happen only if they are near your base and I think the chance of them having this dialogue option is set to only occur once in that case.

It's not done yet, this will be a long project I think due to the testing needed to make sure the spawn rates aren't too high or too low. well the mod isn't intended for recruiting characters. it's intended to give the illusion that people actually travel around the world rather than just staying in their own little areas. The guy who requested it just wanted to see different characters in places he visited rather than the same people every time.

Theigabod go for it sounds interesting. In the vanilla lost drones spawn around the outskirts of hive controlled territory, the Great Dessert and Bast. also you could just add the dialogue package (lost drone Recruit) too you what ever you are spawning.

Interesting mod. I just started making a mod that adds atypical spawns to every area (two areas are done so far) and Lost Drone is one of those spawns that I've added to both so far. With this mod existing I'll make sure to add the lost drones to every area so you can just go from area to area collecting lost drones if that's your thing. If you don't mind, I'll even put a link to this mod on my description for my mod saying this is a good mod to go with it. They should be compatible since I don't change anything with the character itself, I just add it to the spawn list for the zones.
