This is not a replacement for the cricket bat. It is an new, independent custom weapon that will spawn along with the rest of the official melee weapons. If it is not working it is possible it is conflicting with other weapon mods. If you can provide more specifics about the issues you are encountering I will be happy to help you fix it!

AH! I've just tested this myself and think I see what's going on andI will try to see if I can fix it. The lightsaber is using the default deploy animations and sounds for the katana, but does not modify these files. The genji mod changes these sounds and animations so the lightsaber is also using them.

there wasn't any mod conflict upon the checking the mod list but when starting the game and used a katana the sounds now were replaced, the katana sounds like lightsaber. btw Im using genji's katana mod

how do use?

@JAMES Gaming LV2, just pushed an update to allow the saber to be used with those weapons. I also updated my other unlockers with this function as well

jedder77, glad you figured it out! And Thanks! All credit goes to Bonus on gamemaps, I just wrote the sound and texture scripts so that they don't replace existing sounds or textures. Once I get time Ill look into why its interfering with the katana mod.

@PR3TZELL Okay, it was another mod, not a map; definitely a weapon Mod too. Don't know which specifically yet (probably the "Replace Katana with Lightsaber" or "Star Wars Blaster Beams"), but I'm sure I can figure it out.

@Sanchez, only works on local servers if everyone has it installed. OR if the dedicated server has it enabled., Not sure exactly how this works, but I recommend using this on local servers.

@Raidzy the weapon should randomly spawn in any of the official maps. If you are having trouble findinng it you can use sv_cheats to spawn it in.

where do you find the weapon?

@OneAboveAll this adds a new weapon to the game, and will only work in MP if everyone has the mod installed.

do i have to create local server or will it work in Official dedicated server ? ALSO is this a new weapon or it just replaces a weapon .

@firenzes Im not sure whats causing you problems, but I just tested the mod and its still working. you may have some conflicts with other mods you have installed.

@DarthAlverez no weapon bases required. This is a stand alone mod that includes all the necessary scripts to add it as an custom weapon. I am going to add it to my collection of weapon packs in the future to be compatible with my other mods, but for now this is it.

Does this require any weapon bases? From your description, it appears this just adds an entirely new weapon into the game.
