Well, if you trust the cutscenes, Nod's Light Tank is a Bradley from the jump. Does the BMP make more sense? Perhaps. But Nod also uses F-22 Raptors (or was it YF-23s?)

Have you considered modifying the light tank to operate like a 1/2 mammoth tank, 1 cannon 1 missile pod? i assume you could also speed up the cannon to emulate a chaingun if you wanted to make it like the m2 Bradley.

I'll be making country specific variants, but initially I'll just be sticking with the Abrams for simplicity

In the cutscenes for Red Alert 1 I'm pretty sure they just used the Abrams tank to represent the Allied medium tank. If we wanted to go for a more "authentic" route though considering in the story America didn't get involved til the very end, I'd suggest the Leopard 1 or 2 seeing as those are both German tanks from the cold war period. If you want variety then you could use the British Chieftain tank. It'd also be a cool idea to consider the prototype MBT-70 which was an American and West German project to develop a main battle tank that got abandoned due to costs in favor of the Leopard.

I was suprised with their choice of using the Chaffee to be honest, since like the Sherman that was mentioned before, it would look out of place surrounded by 1980's era equipment. As for the Light Tank when I get to it, It will be only the M41's base and not it's turret.

Yep will be just putting it straight across, in fact I could even do that now but it would just be a double listing. What I should do is just have 2 mods that I update over time with new units.

I believe the A Path Beyond team used to argue over what best represented the LIght Tank, and I recall the M41 was up there. I concur with the choice, though I would suggest also the M24 Chaffee as well.

If you continue onwards, you might want to port your M110 over (since it still makes sense even in RA), and wonder what you have in mind for the Soviet Heavy and Allied Medium tanks

The Sherman wouldn't fit with the rest of the vehicle line up as most are 1980's era vehicles in a possible 195x to 196x timeframe.

Does this mod also change the primary weapon of the light tank from its default tank cannon to a proper 25mm automatic chaingun with a higher fire rate but less damage per round?

Through some reverse image research, i found an original '95 render from Westwood.
I did a bit of editing to scale it up a notch, enhanced some colours to make it look both like the original icon from the game, while also blending in with the new style.

You can have it, if you want.

That will be the MLRS, but before that I was planning to spend alittle bit of time improving the Bradley but has turned into something of a remake. Oh plus make a proper cameo for it.

@Pachira Yep, I'm bringing all of the Renegade X units across as well so you'll be able to have nice Renegade units to play with as well, just need to experiment with afew things first regarding their camo shader though.

This is exactly what i've been waiting for.
I can live with pretty much all designs by the developing teams, how to depict the remastered units. Even the choice to give all infantry the Calico M950.

But that f#@king T-55 made absolute zero sense, both for the Nod and the Allies.

Btw, decided to keep your XM8 for the Allies light tank .... but THIS, this is a must have for Tiberian Dawn.
Finaly, i can start the campaign for the Brotherhood.
