Just uploaded an "All Campaigns" version, check my workshop files

Can you make a seperate version that replaces the vanilla Jockey entirely? I like this texture a LOT more.

This skin will now appear only in L4D1 campaigns.

It will say that the files are conflicting when you load up the game, but they still work.
I'll figure out how to fix that tonight.

Wow you're right, nevermind my idea then. I think yours fits best.

@tremor I dont know, Charger fits since it could be a mutation cause of contaminated vein spots in his one arm causing him to become what he is. Jockey honestly would look fine with perhaps any type of clothing since he's obviously someone with a disability of any age.

I'd imagine the jockey as a homeless junkie and imagine the charger as a football player.

Now i imagine a Charger with a beanie for his head and some rag clothes as to imply him being junkie/homeless person in the big city and for the Spitter i think she fits in just fine, as for the Jockey perhaps some other pants or shirt to fit the city environment better.

Could you change the clothes to fit the theme of the other infected better?

Ok obviously you figured this out, but I meant to say "does not WORK", lol.

Charger and Spitter are up. I'm still very new to this whole workshop thing so I am figuring things out as I go along.

@DragOn, I will try to fix that.

I really like this, but I did find a small issue. The newly implemented special infected burn shader does NOT when this skin is used.

As far as I can tell what you need to do is have a new .mdl file for your skin and have it be loaded as a JockeyVariant in the L4D1 campaign missions/campaign#.txt files to make it work on only L4D1 maps.

Have you considered talking to the dev team about implementing this idea? Maybe it's the helping hand they need since they didn't have time for this.

Although, if you read the blog post, it did say that LFD1 infected skins are back. (Not sure about the spitter, charger, etc. though)

@Comrade Jockey, where did you read that? I joined the devs discord, and one of them said that they didn'thave time to make L4D1 skins. Unless this is a very recent development that I missed, I am pretty sure the default L4D2 specials will appear in L4D1 campaigns.

If you got that from the VNN video, then that is outdated/incorrect info.

not true, they made concept art but never got around to actually making new models

fun fact! in the new left 4 dead 2 update coming in 1 day, there will be a left 4 dead 1 version of the spitter, charger, and jockey for left 4 dead 1 campaigns

[{BeerJunky54}], I made this so the Jockey won't look so out of place among the original commons and specials on L4D campaigns when The Last Stand comes out. Trying to figure out how to get this skin to only appear on the original campaigns.

GIANTHURTBALLJR, I was thinking of doing the Spitter and Charger too. Might end up making them this weekend. If only I was skilled enough at 3D modeling to change out the Charger's overalls though lol.

Do you plan on making a L4D1 style Charger and Spitter as well?
