Playing Dong Zhou in 190 with this mod + Radius+ MUT+ Yellow turban buffs was the most painful 10 tunrs ever. Literally whole map sent 5-10 stacks a piece at me and never declared war on each other.

Could you cut the bonuses in half... or even a fourth? It's good, but it's kind of ridiculous to fight a fully mustered enemy army on turn 3 and then again on turn 5.

it works but works to well, AI can maintain 2 or 3 armies with only one single village, can will cause about 3 minutes for AI's turn to move

@Reichsminister I don't remember from the top of my head since I haven't touched the game in a long time but it should work fine. But I think TROM also adjusts some of the parameters in the code that I have changed, so in that case you should put my mod above TROM in the loading order so that mine takes priority when the same line of code are changed.

The AI upkeep with this mod on on legendary mode is over 200% better. Ji militia go from 120 to 52 (or 53?). Meaning the enemy AI can field 2x full stack mid tier armies before you can even get your first army filled out with peasants. What. The. Fuck xD

@Very Bad Bishop This is working as intended, I have made the starting power roll of each faction random, so that each campaign feels like a different challenge that you have to adapt to compared to always having same factions performing well. Sometimes this might result in an easier experience depending where you start on the map, and sometimes harder.

@Emptyheart I didn't have such a problem in the past, but it is possible that it may be the case on lower specs systems since the mod raises the aggressiveness of AI as well as their military spending, so more armies end up spawning everywhere.

for some weird reasons Cao Cao is always in serious trouble in early turns. ( he loses a big battle vs Han Empire's forces in Hainan) so instead of facing a harder challenge , with a powerful cao cao , we can have the guy completely destroyed if we play as nearby factions like Liu Chong or Tao Qian.

@Kon Yeah it isn't crashing so thats a good start but I don't feel the effects of the AI just making dozens of armies steamrolling over me or other AI. When i try to pu the Better AI Template mod right under it and above the other mods it crashes in the loading screen.

@IronManIan777 Hello! It is likely that there may be conflicts because TROM is a big overhaul and from what I have seen they have kept updating it and have kept adding stuff to it, hence that makes it incompatible with most mods out there that change the rules of battle, characters, unit recruitment etc according to the description in their mod page.

Unfortunately, I cannot confirm if TROM totally negates all the changes in my mod or just partially as I am no longer playing this game that much these days. But if it doesn't cause you any severe game crashes, then you can keep both activated. I will test it at some point in the near future once I get in the mood again for 3 Kingdoms and I'll let everyone here know for sure.

I'm using this mod with the TROM + TUP set of 5 mods and I'm not sure yours is working even though I have it above almost all other mods i have. Is it not compatible with those?

@BFDCYY I am not entirely sure on "higher AI aggressiveness", I can't access it on this computer to see what variables he changes on that but I presume it is safe to use. Just note though that since AI is already militarily stronger in my mod, it is already more aggressive so proceed with caution.

About TW Warhammer 2, as far I as I know there are no vassal in that game, you can only have defensive/military alliances with them and then confederations. In 3K the code distinguishes modifiers as only_Player and only_AI (and of course those that apply to everyone indiscriminately) so your vassal will actually enjoy the buffs that apply to AI in this mod too!

By the way, many people say that in TTW Warhammer 2,AI will lost their bonus when they become player's vassal or military alliance,defense alliance will not be affected,is this the same in TTW 3K?

@Silly O Sorry for late reply. I am pretty sure there should be a mode out there that increases army limit. But also keep in mind that this may result in the game lagging, especially with all the armies that AI can field with my mod enabled, let alone if you increase the current limit. If you find such a mod, just make sure you place it above mine in the load order to overwrite the limits.

@newyork50 Certain aspects of the mod only apply at the start of a new campaign, while other parameters may work in an existing save game. To avoid any issues and to make sure that all parts of the mod are loaded and work as intended, it is recommended to start a new save.

@Invictus Jean Danjou Glad you enjoy it and great to hear it works properly in coop too because I never tested coop with it!

So, there are a few settings in the mod that apply to the AI when the campaign starts (e.g. the modified potentials for each factions) and a few other minor stuff. Unfortunately, if you load it after a campaign, many settings won't be loaded/triggered and you won't get the intended experience of the mod. I'd suggest starting a new campaign when you load the mod, that way at least you make sure that everything will function properly without crashing your save.

Btw, I did use this with a friend in a coop campaign. It worked wonderfully, by far the best game we had. A real nice challenge till really late.

@bodmergygax The mod doesn't change or affect any in-game text so you can play in whichever language you prefer. Same with romance and historical mode, it works perfectly fine on both modes.

Hi mate and sorry for late reply, it's been a busy period. Glad you enjoy it!
The incompatibility you report has to do with Radious and Better AI templates, I just tested it. My mod runs perfectly fine with both Wu and Radious enabled.

Probably it's because both mods alter the templates of AI considering that Radious introduces new units to the game and they have to create templates so that AI uses these units.

Tried 2 campaigns and enemies are so smart, especially in battles with Top Tier Units. :steamlaughcry:
Sadly, the game crashes when I launch with Better AI Templates. Running Radious and Wu, with all compatibility patches.

@Bourne Endeavor Yes it should be compatible. Just make sure to put my mod above TROM in load order. I am just not sure how difficult it will really become because TROM introduces a number of units so things might get a little bit harder than vanilla game if these units are OP :D

@AlexiBrennivin That's a bit weird, it's the first time someone reports something like this. Typically the AI doesn't suffer much from dissatisfaction because unlike the player in legendary difficulty, AI doesn't suffer the -10 general discontent. Are you sure it's that and not council missions or Cao Cao's schemes? Regardless, I will look into it and if I notice something similar, I will simply decrease the dissatisfaction from higher general rank for AI only. Cheers.

The increased experience for generals makes a lot of them leave AI factions quite early due to low satisfaction; or you can turncoat pretty much whoever you want this way. In that sense I consider this feature more of a debuff for the AI. Might you consider taking that part out? But good mod overall.

@Overlord97 Well yes, both my mod and Radious can run at the same time, they are compatible in that sense. But, I should point out that there are certain parts of code that we both change, so I'd suggest you put my mod higher than Radious in the load order if you want to get all modifiers for AI the way I adapted them. If you put Radious higher in load order, then Radious' modifiers will overwrite mine.

On the other hand, I haven't tested how well the two mods compliment each other. Radious introduces new units and rebalances pricing for existing ones, so I cannot tell for sure how oppressive or mild the situation will be with my mod enabled. You can try and let me know.

@Erhan Hi. Currently there is no "easier" version of the mod. It is something that I can actually consider doing at some point if there is more interest. Currently I am planning some other changes that I want to implement, and after I do so I will consider making a separate version with intermediate difficulty.

For now, I'd suggest you try to play defensively early on if you are having troubles until you unlock some good reforms and build your economy. Try to play battles manually as much as you can early in the campaign and use ambush stance to your advantage. Take a look at the guide I have written for the base game, you may find some useful info and tricks you can use against the AI.

@Remember No Russian The mod you linked me earlier for instance, it says "updated" in description and comments, but last update in its status is from over one year ago. I didn't check to see what lines in the code it changes exactly so there is a chance there might not have been changes in recent patches for that particular code the mod changes, but it is very likely that it might contain outdated lines.

If you notice that a problem persists with mods, try disabling all of them and choose to do a "verify your file integrity" test. Also in properties make sure your game is opted for latest patch and not for beta or 1.6 by accident. Then unsubscribe and re-subscribe to the mods you are actively using because sometimes you might end up not fetching an update and that might cause issues. Hope this helps!

They're updated but I did turn them off and start a new campaign for testing and after about 12 turns I find an army with the latest units

@Remember No Russian It's very likely that some of these mods are not updated for latest patch. Always check the date of last update. The most recent patch came out this March, so anything that hasn't been updated recently might cause issues like the one you described.

I tried multiple ones like https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1834207574 and others from different creators they normally work perfectly only my faction gets unlocked units and the other factions don't but now a lot of armies on the map have units like onyx and azure dragons from the start

@Remember No Russian Nope, my mod does not affect the unlocking of units. It's probably some other mod that causes that. May I ask which mod are you use for unlocking units?
