Could you please include a fix of the issue where any kingdom rank title you get after forming the archduchy is called an archduchy instead of Kingdom? For example, if you get the kingdom of Bohemia after forming Austria, the title will change into the archduchy if Bohemia. There was a fix mod made a while back, but it hasn't been updated since 1.2.2

I love this mod! Austria is probably one of the most interesting and immersive campaigns you can do in CK IMO so i'm really happy you created this and adding a special building for Vienna which I really hope they add in vanilla soon. Also, have you thought about making the empire tier decision create the "Austro-Hungary" name instead with the historical COA? Even though it's technically out of the time-frame I think it would be cool to see, considering almost all empires in this game are non-historical anyway lol. But either way love what you've done!

just wanted to say that this mod added so much fun to this game. The decisions are very balanced and well thought out. I'm hoping to see more content to be added in the future and I wanted to congratulate you that you added so much flavour with this mod to the base game without adding OP stuff.

@Task thanks for the info. I read comments from other moddrs like metropolis and more building slots and they say they think it may be hardcoded that there is only one slot. If thats the case I currently thinking of adding a normal slot to build one of the special buildings either yours or the unique buildings.

Also i really enjoy that you can create the the archduchy as independent. Its all good stuff.

There is another mod that changes the Habsburger coat of arms once you create the archduchy of Austria. Its called "Coat of Arms fix", if you wanna integrate that into your mod for more flavor.

@Apocalypse sorry late reply, i have seen the mod looked through it for any conflict and as you said it adds the cathedral I'am unsure how to get both to work together.

i didnt edit any GUI related files the special building slot is added via scripted effect in "zz_ade_scripted_effects_v1.txt" and it just reuses the aachen special building icon in "zz_ade_buildings.txt"

i checked to see if editing the script to add 2 special building slots would work but that didn't seem to do anything im new to modding so there may be a way but its beyond me atm.

There is a mod called "More Unique buildings" that adds St. Stephans Cathedral in the special buildings slot. Problem is that if you use that mod, it will occupy the special building slot for the Hofburg from your mod. The decisions still work and everything is peachy. But i dont get to build the Hofburg. Now i have been looking into the Gui files and cant find what is responsible for the building gui window.

Could you tell me what window......gui file you used to add the special building slot in vienna for the hofburg? I want to see if it is possible to make two slots so i can have St. Stephans Cathedral and the Hofburg and my life is complete of course.

The Hofburg is built by decision

After forming the Archduchy and completing both "Fate of the Marches" and "The Princely County of Tyrol", It should be available as a decision provided you still control the both titles Archduchy and Duchy of Austria with the county of Vienna being a requirement to complete said decision

Just wondering what the req are to get the found the hofburg? assuming its blocked by county development?

@Reginald Westford that's good to hear :) yeah i have an unhealthy amount of hours on EU4 it certainly was an influence.

I'm currently leaning towards having 'missions' to take the kingdoms Bohemia and Hungary both being held and lost a surprising amount of times in CK3s time line. At the moment I'm unsure how to make attaining those titles interesting and what the rewards for doing so will be.

I'm fairly new to modding more that just a few lines in EU4 so ill see what can be done as more documentation and guides come out.

I just wanted to say that this mod is really good and led to me having my favourite CK3 game yet. Having decisions to make lands de jure as you take stuff really reminded me of the mission system from EU4 and making Hofburg was the cherry on top. I always liked EU4 for encouraging and rewarding the player and I loved having short achievable goals like taking certain lands as it felt more rewarding than CK which you have to make your own goals for.

I saw that you had no particular plans to add anything to this mod, but I just wanted to say whether your adding anything to this mod or adding decisions for other countries; I can't wait to see what you do next! Thank's again!

@GermanSoviet I didn't like that it required Salzburg even though the archduchy was recognised right at the end of ck3 time line it didnt make sense to have salzburg as a requirement
would be great if you could de jure change counties only by decision.

how do you feel about the game requiring weird sets of duchies to form the Austria? Like how it feels like Salzburg eats into half of Bavaria

The treaty decision is shown when controlling Duchy of Austria and County of Vienna and
