is there a way we can get a variant that is 1x5 of 3x5? i kinda like my ships to be symmetrical around a 1x1 block.

This is rapidly becoming one of my favorite mods and definitely goes on my "Why the h#!! isn't this in the base game?" list.

Love this gate its 100% always included in any space engineers playthrough i do. gates were added as part of the contact dlc maybe a middle gate for them in the future? still this should have been vanilla and is priceless when it comes to docking small ships! thanks chip!

Hey, appreciate the effort, nice to have this gate. But is it possible to remove the numbers from the textures? They get repetitive after a while.

I've noticed an oddity - specifically with the carbon fibre skin, the middle gate seems to scale this completely out of proportion with other blocks with the weave being hugely scaled up

I agree with @GenJackO, sometimes x1 and x3 versions are missing.

I forgot that these weren't vanilla. Confused as to why Keen added a small-grid version of the regular gate but not to the middle gate.

I've probably got the texture scale wrong. If you put a dlc skin on like the disco it'll be obvious

I looked more closely on the texure. It might actually be the right surface detail texture, but yours is upscaled to the point where it looks grainy.

I tested this mod now after looking for bigger gates. It's great. You should update the picture for the mod so people can see how good it looks.

One problem, the gate uses a different surface material than the vanilla DLC gate. It's like the surface is a bit more grainy/bumpy compared to the original. A fix for that would make this look perfect.

The "G" menu does not display, I have already bought all the "DLC" that I found, launched with other mods and without them - I can't find it...

@Captain Harlock You have to have 'Frostbite' DLC, go to G menu and type 'gate' into search. Two gates come up, one is the middle gate.

Should be there but I don't think I added it to the block varients.

I tried it right now, but with the no numbers mod only i can´t find the mid gate in game. with the mid gate mod i can at least find it with search function. Unsubbed, deletet Folder and Resubbed aswell.

do not run both of my gate mods you only need the no numbers one as it has this model as well.

Sorry to bother you again, but I noticed some texture related problems. The Middle Gate seems to keep its numbers even with your no numbers mod and the resolution on it looks way lower then the Frostbyte Gates, extremly noticeable with some skins, for example: Disco, Glamour, Cow Moo Flage and Frozen.

I have tried to minimise this but the vanilla models exist outside their bounding boxes.
if I reduce my model anymore it'll have gaps when used by itself.

Perfect edition, a middle part of the gate is the first thing i thought of when i saw the gate. The only thing that is bothering me is that the GateRight ond the GateLeft models seem to be offset, the textures are alingned but if you build the gates the doors are z-fighting on the edges. It´s not extremely obvious but still visible, would be nice if you could fix that.

Just to make this even better and fit for complete insanity: Would it be possible to add a small grid (and original size) variant to this? Recently fiddled around with one of the mods that give you small grid versions of the large stuff and somehow ended up trying to build an opening roof...

Just pushed a update that may effect gates that already exist. I fixed some graphical issues and matched the frostbite gate type.

I've said before I won't do alternative sizes on this style. But if I get around to it I have some other door designs

This is awesome and works great, ignoring the build stage. But when faced with an odd width (5,7, or 9 blocks) it doesn't fit right. Would it be worth your time to consider a 1x5 or a 3x5 middle gate block?
