You dont need to get in there, in fact if you get in there you wont be able to place the shield gen but you can place the shield in there, you just need to rotate it so its on its side, then you can see into the hatch past the pipe and place the generator

In this version of the ship the shield chamber access is blocked by the huge pipe because the design is different. How are we supposed to get in there without dismantling the pipe?

I couldn't find anything about upgrading the thrusters, as the ship becomes too cumbersome after the storage upgrade to use effectively, not sure what to do about that.

Can someone point out where the shield hatch is exactly? Cant seem to find it.

@Kidge The medical chamber does what the clone chamber does and also heals you so the clone chamber is redundant and thats why there is not one on this ship.

Noob question... So, no clone chamber? what happens if you die in a POI or something?

Well thought out starter CV; Maneuverable, upgrade-able, and economical. The Hammerhead has some nice little touches like sentry guns and boarding ramps automatically deploying at landing.

this is a great ship! and a big thanks to spanj for the video of him making this it helped me a lot only having like 70 hours of gameplay. im now making my own cv that actually works

There's no ammo storage by default. There's room just above the framed cargo container for 14k
ammo box. That should be more then sufficient.

Honestly, this is an excellent solo starter! Working on getting the materials now to start my RE adventure! I did make a change though with the shower and toilet....just moved them to the other side of the room they were in so that I could hide the ugly tile exterior. Seems like you attempted to make it blend but flipping them in the room works out far better! If you ever do an update to this ship I would recommend that! :D

To unlock Tier 3 you need two Tier 3 extenders as per the diagram in the CPU tab of the control panel.

Hi spanj. I am liking your Hammerhead. I have a slight problem i have put a Tier 3 into a Tier 3 slot and the ship CPU has not gone up so i can build more onto the ship. Have i done something wrong. Even though i have played 1000hrs i am still learning and your advice would be very much appreciated. I also like to say that i am enjoying watching your videos

@Intrasonic - all very valid points. I find getting the bridges easy by trading and buying them personally. Not had too much issue getting T3 fairly early on that way. But I agree this ship is more looks that practicality.

Not a bad ship indeed. But it makes me wounder why I can't find a starter CV able to move HV's.

The styling is slick, but the practicality feels questionable? Steel hull, no internal hangar or HV ramps, and no ability to make ammo for the cannon turrets or process ore beyond neodymium? And unless the RNG gods seriously love you, there's a pretty big gap between a little extra Cobalt/Neo for the T2 block and the large optronic bridges needed for the T3's.

Feels like this could become a lot more capable if you sacrificed a few thrusters, given the current state of CPU balance.
