women do not pass on and get claims, makes the dynastic game little pointless, it was a bug couple years ago,then paradox fixed it, but this mod brought the bug back

Is it possible to just set the republic to prohibit female inheritance? It's not unusual to have female lords in the Middle Ages, but I don't believe in female mayors, yet the game is littered with them, even in Arabia! And most importantly because they lead to endless incidents of adultery and illegitimate children! (machine translation)

Hey why dont you create a semi-agnatic system? it works like male preference but females can not inherit, but males borne out of the female lines may do so, for example, if your king dies without children, but has a sister, and that sister has a son, that male issue will become the new ruler

Also, what about creating an option "disinherit line" so many times for some reasons despite disinherit a bad member of the dyansty as a punishment, his children could still inherit, this would make his line be totally unable to inherit the titles of the main line that disinherited them (but not their own titles if they have any of course)

Thats is kinda unrealistic though, it was not uncommon for women to take command of their spouses army if the spouse was away and no other highbornes of similar status were present

For the record, this mod either no longer works or doesn't work as intended and causes massive clashes with the game itself. I've tested every mod I had running and this one ended up being the culprit that has frustrated me for weeks now - it kept causing me to not have any champions/knights, regardless of how many I hired and what their prowess etc was at, so I was forced to lead every army myself which was less than ideal.

the mod may work at some level, but there's definitely a lot of missing changes from the base game. without a patch, ~10000 lines of script are replaced by this mod with 1.4.x-based versions.

Yes it does work. How often do AI change success law to male-preference? As I assume this does not lock anyone into male-only. Ideally there should be a religious doctrine or something that forces it and you have to reform the religion to change the law.

Just found this mod. Not having male-only especially for pagans is beyond annoying. It is historical fantasy at this point. The other problem is make rulers being deposed for females. I often see a ruler have only daughter vassals.

@kophis i am also looking for a mod to get rid of female mayors. having Female leaders in a time when it was a very male dominated time breaks immersion for me.

I was wondering if you knew how to mod the game so that female mayors stop spawning with the male preference law (not the male only law). So that there can only be male mayors unless you have equality law. It's what I'm trying to do, but without success so far.

Does this mod change the ability to change the law to male preference? When I scroll over change law it is grayed out.

Ugh, there were quite a few female rulers all throughout history. It happened when no men were present. So, not really historically accurate at all.

Is this still being worked on? I can't believe there is only one mod out there that seeks to have historical and realistic gender roles. It totally breaks the immersion.

I'm so tired of Paradox, this community and this game... This mod shouldn't need an update to function for it is so minor, regardless I will not be supporting this mod.

Is there anything you can do about the game insisting on giving baronies (castles, cities, (temples in lay male only clergy?)) to women? I know it is not a "No Female Rulers" mod but it is not like I can grant those title to women myself in male dominated religions.

I have found an issue. If multiple kingdom titles have male only extra law attached to them, the game does not work properly with confederate partition, sometimes everything goes to one heir, this however might be related to base game type of issue, not to your mod, I am not sure which one it is.

This mod is a must have.I know paradox tries to be politically correct,when it comes to gender,but come on maaan, this is a historical(supposedly) game.Also, this is not the only inaccuracy, which bothers me personally, for ex. I just looked up Carlingian history, according to the treaty of Verdun non of the frankish kings in 867 should have claims on each other, and also Kingdom of Aquitania is not historical at all, should not exist as dejure at all, it was absorbed into West Francia. So yeah, also a lot more succession types are needed.(the game does not even mention Salic law- in Europe it was still active in late medieval times, meaning women wouldnt be able to inherit lands---whole story about Henry VIII not having a son???? hmm .--- paradox, I am sure good old Henry would just click a shiny decision in game which would change gender law, like it was that easy-:):):)
