This feature is originally a bug, but it's funny enough that I decided to not fix it.
If you want to change your outfit to your actual character's outfit, you can go to your room and change your outfit there.

How exactly do you use the outfit of the character you're actually playing as? Regardless of what I do it seems to pick the outfit of the campaign's character while playing the mutator character.

when i first played as rook in smith's campaign i forgot about the outfit switch

Additionally, if you selected an outfit while using a mutator, the character will wear the original outfit. For example, you can have smith wear sal's outfit if you play as smith in Hunting Kashio.
This is totally an intended feature and not at all a bug.

You will have the same card set as the character you are playing as. If you play as smith in Hunting Kashio, you will have all the renown good stuff and your masochistic combat deck.

Do I have the same card set? Or just a change in character protrait?

This mod is for people who wants to play a particular character's campaign using another character.
For example, if you want to play Hunting Kashio as Smith, now you can using this mod.

I still don't understand what is this mod for....to play as another character? Why not just choose another character?

It would be cool, but it would not work, as music are tied to the player background rather than the player agent. This means that sal's stories can only play sal's music, etc.

It'd be cool if the music could also swap cross-campaign.

I didn't do too much research for it but when the bug happen to me I just turned off all other mods created a new game and then I had cards again

This is part of the disclaimer, and there's nothing I can do.
I quote, "Sometimes picking an option that doesn't make sense will cause the game to crash, so don't trade your non-existing lucky coin with Krog's weighted coin."

i accidentally found a crash, any character other than rook in rook's story, the gun show event, either increasing or decreasing charge chambers crashes the game

Actually, a cross-exam of other mod pages has turned out that this might be other character mods (such as Kashio) interfering with Shel's deck. I'll give it a spin with tomorrow and I'll get back to you.

It might sounds very cliche, but I can't produce the problem you described. I just tried Shel expanded on Sal's campaign, and it worked.
You might want to disable the original shel mod by klei, as per the instructions of the expansion mod(if you haven't done that before). Other than that, I have no idea how to help.

@RageLeague yes, sure: Shel does not have any cards on her Battle and Negotiation decks as the campaign starts, which causes you to have nothing at all to draw when either conflict begins. I can't tell you if she gets card rewards because I cannot actually win anything like this. Shops seemed to work as usual, though.

@Pelandes can you describe the problem in greater detail? Does she not have any starting deck, or do you never get any rewards that reward cards?
One thing to note about the shel expansion mod is that instead of having both sal and smith cards in her card pool, the expansion uses the special shel card pool full of unique cards. That might have something to do with it.

Bug report: playing as Shel on Sal's campaign causes her not to have any Battle or Negotiation cards. Note that I'm playing with her Shel Expansion mod, not the original Shel.

It's probably going to be added. The current demo will easily crash the game if you play on a regular campaign because there's no reward cards. I can do nothing about it because that is not my mod.

Playable Arint?

I am aware of the disappearing hat bug. Unfortunately there's little I can do about it. The game just decides that the hat fits sal's head when in a conversation, but doesn't when in battle. It probably has to do with the fact that the size of sal's build is slightly smaller than rook's build because she's female.

The bug also occurs with rook where none of sal's hat fits rook, making him bald when wearing a sal outfit.

Just consider it a "feature" of the mod.

Bug report: playing as Sal on Rook's campaign while wearing his second outfit (the light-grey one, I forget its name) causes Sal's (Rook's) hat to dissapear in her battle sprite. Her talking (and negotiating) portraits are otherwise working correctly.

Well, playing with Shel!Rook is more entretaining that I thought it was going to be. Giving how much resolve she has and how little health, you really do depend on your silver tongue and fear the actual fights. If only her unique cards weren't so god damned awful, but that is not your fault.

I saw the error message, and it seems like the error is caused by the devs rather than me.
Keep in mind that Smith is currently under experimental, so it might have many bugs in it.
You should post this on the bug forum. If you can reproduce it, press F8 when the game crashes. I think it is caused by getting powder keg destroyed while having no enemy targets.
