Is there by any chance you could make the emplacement gun from the mass effect series?

can you make a version of this rotated 90 degrees, so when you spawn it, it's facing forward and not to the left?

It's just a blank canvas for scenebuilding on though, so don't expect it to be anything other than a big black room. You can use the sky, fog, and sun editor entities in gmod to change those and lamps for lighting.
