but... Petty King is a localized Duke rank

I believe Localization and GUI changes disable achievements because mods for Localization and GUI can be used to display information to the player which is hidden in the base game (e.g. health, fertility and other stuff). So I think it is probably going to remain like this.

I swear it was working correctly before, but looking through CK3 forum I found reports of localization changes changing checksum dating back to 2nd of September. Weird.

Anyway, there is nothing I can do about this, so until paradox fixes it, i will edit the description.

Hm... yes, it seem to be the case. I also tried some other mods that just change localization (such as Domain to Demesne) and they also disabled achievements. Its seems changes to localization now suddenly change checksum, for some reason.

Thats weird, it just changes localization, nothing else. I will look into it.

You may need to update this, it is currently changing the checksum making it achievement incompatible.

It makes sense: petty kings were so-called because while they might rule as kings, they weren't crowned by the religious authorities and so had no claim to what was considered the divine appointment of certain families to the crown.

To all the people saying that this isn't how CK2 worked: In CK2 the title was called Petty Kingdom but the holder was called King in-game. You don't have to take my word for it, just fire up the game and check it yourself. In CK3 the holder is called "Petty King" which is clearly not the same.

Being so upset about the title "Petty King" you have to have a mod that removes "Petty"?

The rulers of Petty Kingdoms aren't literally named "Petty King X" in CK2 it's just "King X". Such a ridiculous oversight by the CK3 Devs.

Yeah, if you want your game to work like this, more power to you, but don't claim this is how CK2 did it when it very much didn't.

They were petty kings in CK2, Straight from the CK2 wiki, Duchies page.

"Independent duke-tier characters of several cultures are called petty kings, but have the same mechanics as other dukes."

I hope they actually patch this because it literally doesn't make any sense
