I know this mod is old and hasn’t been updated in years but my unit had noticed while testing that if you hit “Ctrl” while in the standing up animation, it will crash your game and freeze the aircraft for anyone else until the person who froze crashes to desktop. This can be mitigated by simply taking care not to hit “Ctrl” while in this phase but if it happens, it results in a pretty catastrophic bug for everyone else involved.
Is there any chance you might know why this would happen and if a fix is possible?
Thank you.
I broke down that mod and here is which mods are stolen: {链接已删除}https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hVcqbIuVFmz9gJlo5zODn_Hkhbyf8E35YaxsVNUt3bY/edit?usp=sharing
@LeMig-15 For now AI interaction isn't really built out. The code I used for the video is on the GitHub if you wish to go digging.
@andresgleich it turns out having more than a few ropes really kills performance so that's turned off.
@Cav server and all clients.
with with the C-17 from that pack though. Thanks!
while jumping out the ac130, its like throwing a lego :P
All aircraft with ViV space should currently be compatible.
Backpack-on-chest should be compatible.
@Airsoft Actual There is a CBA setting to specify the parachute that is spawned when jumping without a chute backpack
@Victo hope you try it and enjoy!
Consider that in the real world, if you jump from a high altitude over enemy territory you will be spotted and shot since you have no control over when you pop your chute . To avoid this, you need control over the opening of the parachute at a lower, stealthier altitude.
The only option in this current iteration is for the aircraft to come in low on the DZ, which is clearly not a good idea either.
I would suggest providing the option for the squad leader to command the AI and himself not to open the chute until a command is given by him while in free-fall. This way he can fall until closer to the tree tops, thus avoiding him disclosing the team's Insertion point to the enemy.
In addition, if you were to implement this as a mod where you could sync it to a specific cargo vic as the troop deployment transport, say an Osprey or C-130 as well as the option to choose parachute with combat load-out on chest, you'd have yourself a killer mod!
