Nice mod, although shooting from a far distance makes the arrow shoot kinda tilted, and that makes me feel like im shooting with a toy bow, but not in close encouinters though, that feels nice.
If I had more time it would've been cool to figure out if the bow could be upgraded with resin to add things like this as optional upgrades.
I'd like to replay the Alyx campaign and map add-ons with a bow but, I'll need to make the following changes to the Recurve Bow. I prioritized needed changes as follows. 1 represents the highest priority. I need my first change to be easily achievable and may swap 1 & 2.
How does this plan sound?
1 find a way to tie the available arrow count to pistol ammunition (maybe hlvr_getresources ???)
2 with hlvr_setresources, deplete pistol ammo. after firing an arrow
3 matching add-on 2404913699, help with aiming through a sight reticle
4 with vr_energygun_dmg or equivalent, limit an arrow's power
5 matching add-on 2774673203, allow bow activation with button
6 add bow to the "007" map add-on
For greater immersion, I pair bow game-mechanics with resistance bands.

This is my favorite addon, and favorite weapon, so I want use it in any maps!
Thanks for greatest addon in HL:A
The draw distance was a tough one to manage since people had varying arm lengths, I changed it a couple of times to find a sweet spot that most people can use but it doesn't work for everyone.
The side was also controversial, I found the majority expected it on the left (when right-handed) since that was the convention for bows in VR (and other games) at the time. Thanks for bringing these things up though, I hope they didn't ruin your experience!
