It's been a while since I posted any updates on this mod page; over two years, actually!
I’m sure many of you have guessed that I stopped updating the mod, especially since the "By Blood Alone" rework of Italy is something I mostly appreciate.
Of course, there are still many issues with the game. For example, the "balance of power" mechanic could have been implemented better, but overall, the gameplay remains very enjoyable.
I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who has played with my mod. It was a great experiment, and it gave me a deeper understanding of HOI4’s mechanics.
I don't think I'll ever resume development on the mod, but I prefer to leave the door open, who knows?
If anyone is interested in continuing the mod's development, feel free to do so!
@¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯ Well, similar to Bordiga for Gramsci, Longo is the substitute leader if Togliatti get's killed. However, it's a pretty random thing. If you want, you can cheated the event (id: italymod.event.25), but a Civil War will occur, or you can try to set the global flag ITA_togliatti_dead before the end of the PCI Congress.
Well, at this time we didn't see anything, even a developer diary, but, after the work they have done to the Soviet Union, I think that something pretty good can come out (hopefully they will not give thousand of traits to Mussolini, but this is a very small complain that I have).
I think that I will continue to update this mod, possibly integrating the new content that will come out, but who knows, perhaps it could be the end of this work.
Anyway, I'm proud of the work that I have done. Yes, it's not perfect, and probably it will never be, but this was kinda of an experiment, and I never thought that so many people will enjoy my work.
I really have to thank everyone for this: the guys who translate my awful English, the players who keep playing my mod despite my many delays and absences, even who take its time to leave a comment, good or bad, it doesn't matter. Thank you all!
That being said, I do have a few ideas to improve it if you don't mind me saying them
One being an optional focus for restoring the gang as Italy by staging Coups in Germany, Hungary, and Turkey, that way they can get the alliance back together even if their going a different route.
Maybe call the Focus "Restore The Old Thrones", Just an idea
Next being a slight change to the boarder issue focus, maybe have two, one for restoring the boarder to the state it was in 1914 or allowing the Habsburgs to have Lombardy and Venitia in return for a stronger alliance
Finally, maybe a setting to force the A.I. down The Central Powers path, since that would be helpful to people who have this mod but play as a different country in that playthrough
These are just a few ideas to spice things up a bit in the Central Powers path, It's your choice in the end, have a good day!
Yeah, I should have added some tooltips to the events, in the actual state the choices are very cryptic.
Anyway, here a little guide for how to get Bordiga as leader:
The Party Structure
->We support a centralized party
Union with Socialist?
->The socialists are too moderate, we have to continue alone
The Democracy question
->Allow some minors elections
The Future of the colonies
->They will be free, but under our direction
The fate of Pope and the Church
->The Pope will be exiled from Italy and the Church institution dismantled
Note that if Gramsci is still alive, you will obtain him as leader, not Bordiga.
SOLVED: this mod is incompatible with "Forgotten Nations"
