Hello friends. As the previous mantainer troopersmith1 has given the go-ahead, I have updated Death Rattle to 1.4 found here: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2879582925
Rinklaybalzach 24 okt, 2022 @ 11:58
Essential mod. Thanks for working on it so far! I hope someone updates to 1.4. Does it work on 1.4 already?
The Moustache 23 okt, 2022 @ 12:24
@Tyrant it was Rim of Madness - Bones for me

1.4 planned?
cleaner475 21 okt, 2022 @ 6:58
1.4 please! :D
Tyrant 17 okt, 2022 @ 12:24
@GiGADEATHMANSoFHELL, I noticed that too, but it was working with animals prior to a few days ago. Since this hasn't updated since last November, another mod has probably broken it. With everything updating for 1.4 compatibility, I haven't been able to figure out which yet.
GiGADEATHMANSoFHELL 16 okt, 2022 @ 10:08
seems to be affecting animals and not allowing them to be slaughtered

Any chance of letting "brain damage" be cured by bioregeneration on a biosculptor? It can cure the physical damage to the brain just fine.
markus 25 sep, 2022 @ 14:42
@Garret me neither can someone pls help with this?
Garret 18 sep, 2022 @ 5:11
I'm not seeing the settings file. Anyone else have this problem?
JACK 16 sep, 2022 @ 16:08
perfect mod for my weepy ass that gets attached to pixellated bean people in a video game
CHCYQTXFS 14 sep, 2022 @ 13:26
how can i heal no pulse and artificial coma ?
Butterhai 11 sep, 2022 @ 18:31
i have prisoner arena installed and they keep fighting until the torso reaches zero which kills instantly
not sure if you take requests but it would be nice if there was some kind of knockout effect with maybe a low death chance when a bodypart goes critical
Crazy Angel 10 sep, 2022 @ 7:26
my colonist gets gunned down dies instantly but does have the condition acute liver failure?
jybil178 9 sep, 2022 @ 18:22
and the setting should be base, I have not messed with any of the base settings that I recall, unless a mod messed with one behind the scenes that I am not aware of
jybil178 9 sep, 2022 @ 18:22
12+ raids now with the mod on, none of them have been downed from fighting, they just die. Small raids of course for start of the game, all 1-3 raiders with melee weapons or bare handed

One fight I followed before I started to get a bit more desperate, I started trying to down raiders with bare hands. Luck of the draw, one of the attacks obliterated the a pawns leg and they died outright from the blow.

I turned the mod off recently, believe I managed to get one raider downed and recruited now... Only a single raid to go off of :(

Could just literally be very bad luck, I will admit. Don't have the time or energy to want to try to do any kind of in depth testing with dev mode to see for sure
famalex 8 sep, 2022 @ 0:30
What do you mean by "dying instantly"? Are they just dying of random little inconsequential injuries once they go down in pain shock or is it something else. Also, have you turned the base game's "enemy death on downed" setting to 0%? That isn't something this mod affects and is a separate matter
jybil178 8 sep, 2022 @ 0:24
Raiders are dying instantly on every raid, fresh playthrough. Currently only have 3 colonists, and I have been unable to capture a single raider as of yet

Not sure if the mod is having trouble working any longer, or if it is potentially making things even worse and causing so much instant death

How do I cure Coma?
_♣Caligula♣_ 22 aug, 2022 @ 8:50
Not sure what is causing it, but wild animals and colony animals are not dying and stacking up massive amounts of wounds/damage.
Pawns in generel it seems.
Shot another colonist and bleeding rate is at 2694%, yet still alive.
Slaughtered chicken are also still alive despite having a cut in the neck.
Krapuul 19 aug, 2022 @ 10:10
Mod no longer functions. I've had three colonist get insta-gibbed by a headshot/brain damage in my current playthrough.
SariusSkelrets 8 aug, 2022 @ 6:07
The mod still fulfills its functions but it can't prevent the insta-kill heart attack you get if you're too old and use a chronopath psycast that ages you from vanilla psycasts expanded
[BOT] Lt. Caresha R. Brownlee 22 jul, 2022 @ 9:28
this mod isn't working anymore
Computica 9 jul, 2022 @ 12:17
@DrBossWatson Yes, Use Harvest Organs Post Mortem. You'll be able to extract a brain and use that to replace/fix any brain damage.
Daemonjax 24 jun, 2022 @ 16:59
This causes many hediff errors in dev mode when using the create colony autotest.
DrBossWatson 10 jun, 2022 @ 11:59
Is there a way to fix brain damage?
Paul 16 maj, 2022 @ 7:16
I used this to harvest the liver of a quest prisoner before loading him in the shuttle and giving him back to the Imperials
Spybot 9 apr, 2022 @ 18:18
no its closer to they got a crack or bruise of a fist and later would just fall over and die of it at random like i have not been able to figure out when or why and the logs are confusing to me whilst running a ton of mods i even tweaked with the random death on down number in vanilla and i don't think it changed anything this would still happen after playing for some time. my simple fix is to go into dev mode and resurrect any dead pawn which it normally only targets 1 pawn even if multiple had gotten a bruise at the same time which makes this all the more confusing to me and also sorry for being an annoyance to the comments.
ToastOffTheUndead 8 apr, 2022 @ 21:29
is it safe to add this mod to an ongoing save?
famalex 5 apr, 2022 @ 5:07
I'm not 100% sure but that sounds like a random death on down thing that is part of the core game. There are base game settings that can change that now, but you used to have to install a mod called no random death on down. Apologies if that isn't what the issue is, but its a common thing people have incorrectly thought that this mod stopped in the past
Spybot 4 apr, 2022 @ 17:31
I have came back from later testing and i can confirm that it was not this mod or not just this mod that causes random death shortly after a colonist got bruised but i have still yet to figure out this mystery so all i can assume is its just a mod incompatibility
Spybot 29 mar, 2022 @ 18:33
I have done some testing and im not sure if it was bug/incompatibility but with death rattle on some occasions pawns would just die randomly and more often when taking a little but of damage and then like next rimworld day fall over dead even if it was just a bruise any idea what might be the cause of this?
MANN from TF2 11 mar, 2022 @ 1:35
Ok wtf my guy got hit in the liver with a charge lance...
Geobeetle 8 feb, 2022 @ 15:12
In vanilla missing the stomach doesn't kill pawns anymore, but in this mod it still does. Any chance you can fix that?
Hitman 19 jan, 2022 @ 1:07
Yeah, i noticed that too. if a pawn falls into coma for too long he suffers brain damage that cannot be cured. I tried curing it with bioregeneration and healer mech serum but none of those worked.
Hattsworth 17 jan, 2022 @ 19:23
The brain damage caused by not having a heart for a bit can't be cured with a bioregeneration cycle - not sure if that's intentional, since it will heal brain scars normally, but not dementia.
famalex 1 jan, 2022 @ 5:38
What that means is simply just that breathing has dropped to 0 for too long and is close to killing them. If you have a life support system (mod linked in this mod's description), then that can allow them to not die from it. Otherwise, you have two ways to go about it - replace missing or damaged lungs (if severe damage or total loss of those parts is the issue), or pray to randy that their neck heals enough for them to resume breathing. I hope this answers your question
The Horse ♥♥♥♥ Inspector 29 dec, 2021 @ 14:16
I might just be unaware, and sorry if I am, but is there a way to stop oxygen deprivation on a pawn from becoming clinical death? Can I like, stab a hole into one of their lungs and stick a tube in it?
