this has become a recurring problem and I really dont see an answer to it, whenever I have an obj loaded in game, or when I get the opportunity to load one in, sometimes i can load it completely normal. then I open up the game again and suddenly "poof" failed to find 'Content-Range' header, I say "weird flex", open the game again and then "poof" object back to normal. any good ideas onto WHY it may be doing this from time to time?

From what I know and understand, people's games either crash and or get times out. But not everyone, as if their specs or settings are at fault. Someone else mentioned it could be LUA related though.

There are some measures to prevent crashing, but i'll take a look, probably delay the rendering time

keep having this issue on single player and online servers, sometimes it loads the model and some other times it fails to find content range for header, any clues on how to fix this?

yep, any idea why even on single player, local server games the "content range" header is still not being found from time to time, its really annoying that i try to spawn a prop one time and then another and it doesnt load

local server was on but when i try to press E on the object it did nothing i have Nadmod prop protection but it does not work if its a propblem with not supporting windows 11 thats the worst bug i will ever have

@Cosmic Sadly no, you have to extract them, but it does support a obj with multiple textures / meshes

@Psych-Chik did you start it as singleplayer?
If so:
- If you want to use it SINGLEPLAYER, make sure "Local Server" is ticked! Do not start it PURE SINGLEPLAYER

The menu is not coming up AT ALL. Regardless of numerous players, and I despise playing with other individuals.
Does this even work in Sandbox mode?

If not, you should make one.

i really dont know, but as i said, friends in the same server can see them loading fine, and i could too as of yesterday, so i dont know what really is happening

@SebdajollyController what hosting provider are you using? That error means it can't find the size of the mesh (it does a pre-check before loading, so people don't load huge models)

for some reason, i cant see the props i try and load, it gives me a content range error, but its only me, since when i load em, friends and people on the server i play in can see em normally,is there any way to fix this??

Sorry for the spam, I tried other models ant it works good, I think the z slider only bugs when they are .dae models exported into .obj through Blender, so it was the model´s fault, not the addon.
Other thing: you should add a fixed thread on this addon for people to share their models with the links, that would be awesome and could fill the "workshop support" in the todo list.

Sorry for late reply, haven't been here for a bit. If I were able to use blender, I would, but unfortunately I cannot because it doesn't run on my PC anymore. 3ds max does have an option to export .obj files like blender would, but it is still having the same issue. I've tried un-checking exporting normals, optimizing normals, export smoothing groups, etc... but they aren't working either. I guess I'll try to open a bug on github?

@Bear can you try exporting it on Blender (as obj) and check if the normal errors are still happening? You might have to tick some settings on 3DS MAX to export obj in a valid format. If it still happens, could you open a bug on the github with the model link?

google drive, everything is working now, but it didnt work for about an hour yesterday for some reason. error message was Failed to find Content Range Header or something like that.

I am having a problem and i dont know what to do. i cannot import objs anymore for some reason. the box will say fetching model, and then a red letter message pops up saying Failed to find Content Range Header!

found it by pressing E. but like i mentioned Nifskope is a program that can change nif files to obj files, nif files are the mesh files that Fallout 3, Fallout NV, Fallout 4, Morrowwind, Oblivion, and Skyrim and other Bethesda Games uses nif files. using this i was able to import alot of skyrim models into gmod to use as props. any nif file can be used. if i could endorse this addon 100 times i would!
