@Shavius this patch effectively does nothing atm. if you check the 1.3 file in ve apparel, you can see how the shoes used to have <generateCommonality>0.1</generateCommonality> while right now they have a commonality of 10, basically guaranteeing that they'll spawn on pawns

Since this patch is marked abandoned, can I add it to my VE patch?

This mod works really well because so many people I encounter on the Rim are wearing shoes... and nothing else. Don't suppose their a mod to force most people to wear a minimum of clothing in general?

just fyi the middle layer feature has nothing to do with the empire not being able to wear shoes and boots. you can still wear power armor with boots even without the on-skin mod; try it yourself.

Correction - empire don't have any shoes cuz Oskar is being bitchy about moving da shoes to skin layer so they can be worn under power armor. Y

Thanks! May I ask you to put changelogs to the appropriate section of the Workshop? This reduces the tedium of checking them and the chance they get buried under other comments.

Also, after a year of silence, i finally updated this mod to have shoes and boots appear pretty much all the time on industrial pawns and beyond.

Ok so for some reason the Empire faction won't ever equip shoes or boots no matter how many things I try. You might want to contact the original author of VAE because that might be a problem with the main mod.

Also empire does not seem to be affected, they don't have any shoes.

Please, make shoes and boots skin layer! Pls!

Are shoes also skin layer now? There is a conflict with hand and footwear, also you can't wear shoes with power armor.

btw if you think shoes aren't spawning enough, edit the xml file in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2202853322\Patches\ThingDefs

it should be called WAYS.xml . change the number inside the <generateCommonality> brackets to something like 30. more shoes and boots should spawn this way.

Do NPCs spawn with shoes with this mod, or they cannot wear them?

Also, what kind of shoes are in your mod? Do they give speed boost?

Nice! I was always bothered that my pawns are the only ones with shoes (and only because I crafted them, since they don't spawn with them either).
