Yes please someone send this to Mlie, the legend.

I noticed this mod causes an error on startup and if it's ever removed from a save it prevents MapComponents from loading, breaking the game.

@ChickenBites84

There is a mod conflict between They're in the Trees! and Tactical Ablative Armor (Meat Shields). Different mod order doesn't help. This error has been sent to both parties. And it looks like I have reported it a year ago.

Sorry, but my current job now prevents me from working on any of my old mods. My old PC with all the modding files and tools are several hundred miles away. Oof. I give full permission to anyone who wishes to fix or improve up on these old mods, if they can.

I didn't even have a chance to try this mod and now I have to get rid of it.

Sooo is it fixed now? the error with hugslib? or this is abandoned?
Daiki Naruse 29 SEP 2020 a las 5:55
Looks like this mod hates any kind of combat enhancement mods... I'm using Gun Play (or Gunplay?) And the game spits a red line right after reloading with this mod, saying Huglibs something something.

Not sure. I am booting up the game now but my computer is slow. I can confirm though that it was not causing Better Loading to make the progress-bar go red and freak out.

Is it fixed now??

Maybe there is a conflict with HugsLib. Please fix it if you can. I love this mod with tribal/medieval theme. More realistic compared to guns.

Don't have Yayo's Combat.

In many cases I dont want to be behind a tree in a gun/bomb fight. the tree my explode or burst into splinters that are like a mini boom of sharp small objects, aka sharpnel bombs.
ChickenBites84  [autor] 24 AGO 2020 a las 15:16
@gEL~ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It appears you have Yayo's Combat loaded. I have never used it and I fear the mods conflict. Maybe I'll create compatibility, but don't count on it. Thank you for the report.

Hey help please. There's an error patch between this and Harmony. Also with HugsLib.

hey officer, why is the trees speaking vietnamese?
eNoble-US 22 AGO 2020 a las 17:13
@Smaug this isn't the army pal, this is Rimworld. Bullet penetration through objects isnt simulated in this game and the purpose of this mod is not being able to send rounds through countless amounts of trees without being stopped.
ChickenBites84  [autor] 21 AGO 2020 a las 16:26
If you guys want true realism, then my mods don't achieve this. IRL penetration will vary from bullet to bullet, tree to tree. Rimworld walls stop all bullets (before destruction) despite being made of wood. However, my mods are difficulty-adjustable, so they would be as punishing as you want them to be. That being said, I would need to fix the description as tree do not stop all bullets but stop as much as you adjust them to be.
puffy_jr_kfan 20 AGO 2020 a las 17:04
I love this idea, but this game is hard enough as it is. The last thing I need is Mechs covering behind trees :steamhappy:
Angela·Ziegler 20 AGO 2020 a las 3:15
@Smaug Agree.Situation get even worse when you encounter LMG or HMG. A browning M2 could even pierce concrete block, let alone wood.
Smaug 20 AGO 2020 a las 1:08
In the army we were drilled to never treat trees as cover. 5.56 will go straight trough any tree, maybe against pistol caliber ammo it will act as cover but not against any long guns.
NECEROS 19 AGO 2020 a las 18:31
Angrysquirrel

Devs can't help unless we give them the full log file. When your game is running (requires hugslib) press CTRL+F12 and upload that link. That's how you give people a log. :)
ChickenBites84  [autor] 19 AGO 2020 a las 17:11
@Angrysquirrel
Modlist?
@Combat Extended?
Probably not. It changes the nature of combat too much.
Angrysquirrel 19 AGO 2020 a las 15:57
Dude, getting this error on load.: [HugsLib][ERR] TheyreInTheTrees caused an exception during OnDefsLoaded: System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary.

ЯEБAЛ 19 AGO 2020 a las 10:31
i would definitely want to use that with CE
Spanks 18 AGO 2020 a las 22:11
This looks pretty sweet! Are you aware of any compatibility issues with Combat Extended?
