@[THH] Jiver I assume so, the patching is pretty simple and there are plenty of examples in the mod
[THH] Jiver 22 aug @ 21:13
VFE: Architecture module I forgot to specify.

Vanilla Furniture Expanded adds Armored Walls of each basic material, would compatibility be feasible between these two mods?
deltanedas 1 aug @ 11:23
it would be nice to have since odyssey space is a meme (-150C air instead of actual vacuum where you need radiators to lose heat vs conduction) and you need to heavily insulate it or have 20 heaters
Mlie  [skapare] 31 jul @ 7:15
@deltanedas I can if its requested, I dont have any plans for the mod myself
deltanedas 31 jul @ 7:13
@Mlie do you plan on adding insulated ship hulls for oddysey?
Mlie  [skapare] 16 jul @ 6:15
@Phant0m5 fixed now
Phant0m5 11 jul @ 1:30
Hey Mlie, thanks for the 1.6 update. It seems the RimPlas patch is throwing a fit:
<placingDraggableDimensions>1</placingDraggableDimensions> doesn't correspond to any field in type ThingDef.

Taking the line out obviously prevented click-and-drag, but then it wasn't working beforehand either. Making the thermoplas wall inherit from Wall instead of BuildingBase did the trick.
Mlie  [skapare] 27 dec, 2024 @ 5:24
@OceanOfGaming You should probably report that on their mod page. I cant do much about their energy calculations
OceanOfGaming 27 dec, 2024 @ 5:17
i conducted an experiment and in all of my tests it turned out that the Dubs Aircon system usen the least amount of power t ocool a room with vanilla materials. all the other (insulated) types consumed more power to keep a room refrigerated. (with celsius mod and patch enabled)
Mlie  [skapare] 1 sep, 2024 @ 4:34
Each added wall/door needs a patch
Davi 1 sep, 2024 @ 3:59
[lts] systems and medieval overhaul for example
Davi 1 sep, 2024 @ 3:59
I guess it doesnt work on mods that add their own walls/doors that arent listed?
Mlie  [skapare] 26 maj, 2024 @ 11:02
@Shadowknght Fixed the SOS2 patch
Shadowknght 24 maj, 2024 @ 22:40
Unsure if this has been said by anyone else, but I have encountered a bug that was preventing me from using dev mode entirely. I narrowed it down to this mod having some sort of issue with SoS2. First time posting logs so let me know if I'm missing something, but hopefully this helps.

@silentwinged glad to see im not the only one. Gonna submit a bug report when i get a chance
Mlie  [skapare] 18 apr, 2024 @ 11:39
@lol Not that I know of
Mlie  [skapare] 17 apr, 2024 @ 21:59
@silentwinged Please see the Reporting Issues section described above
silentwinged 17 apr, 2024 @ 14:15
This mod is not working. It's causing vents to stop regulating temperatures and is making doors extremely hot for some odd reason.
Mlie  [skapare] 15 apr, 2024 @ 1:04
@Disaster Should be fixed now
Disaster 15 apr, 2024 @ 0:51
@Mlie Hello, thank you for maintaining the mot. In the ship (Sos2) mod the wall-lights do not work due to missing support for attachments.
Aphasia 9 mar, 2024 @ 21:57
The ability to make insulated walls blend in with non-insulated walls would be nice, since they have a completely different texure and look weird when connected
Duke Flapjack 31 jan, 2024 @ 17:24
Is it possible that a biomass wall is LESS insulated than a wall built out of its material? I have a desert village that uses mud bricks from the Ceramics mod and a room built with just the bricks is warmer than one with the biomass and brick walls.
Lurmey 1 jan, 2024 @ 9:13
Hey Mlie, are you adding features/compatibility to this mod or just bug fix/maintenance? I would love to see it support Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Architect's single doors and Owlchemist's Windows (updated fork of JPT's Open The Windows).

To do the windows, I suggest having double-glazed versions that require 2x the steel (or 2x glass panes with Dubs Skylights installed).

If not, no worries, thanks! :)
Mlie  [skapare] 26 nov, 2023 @ 22:06
@Grimm Spector See the Reporting Issues section above for help to find the cause of your issue.
Grimm Spector 26 nov, 2023 @ 16:32
Hmm the polymer insulation isn't showing up to build at any work bench I have, and the insulation making machine isn't showing up to build either. I have Rimfeller, and it's working. I have the Polyer Insulation research complete, and the option to make polymer buildings and doors, but nowhere to make it...
Grimm Spector 21 nov, 2023 @ 19:02
Can't say I have any graphical skill myself, but could you take the vanilla graphics and snip the insulation from the higher tier from the other tiles, and put them together? I don't know if that's how those work or not.
Mlie  [skapare] 20 nov, 2023 @ 14:02
@Grimm Spector I can add stuff as well, but I have no gfx-skill so that limits the additions to this mod
Grimm Spector 20 nov, 2023 @ 12:44
It's a real shame, it would be a very nice wall type to have ... and I assume you're only maintaining.
Mlie  [skapare] 20 nov, 2023 @ 9:44
@Grimm Spector No, the author never added such walls
Grimm Spector 20 nov, 2023 @ 9:07
In the mod I don't see any equivalent to the vanilla silver and steel Sterile Walls, but with insulation?
Mlie  [skapare] 19 nov, 2023 @ 22:07
@Grimm Spector I dont understand the question?
Grimm Spector 19 nov, 2023 @ 16:22
No silver sterile option even in the higher tech levels?
Xyllisa Meem Paradox Station 27 sep, 2023 @ 23:45
Hi, I'm sorry to bug but I wanted to request support for VFE: Architect. Mainly, I was hoping for support for Fine walls from the mod if possible.
Trinsec 29 apr, 2023 @ 11:53
Alrighty, thanks for the answer! I guess I'll have to look up details for the vanilla insulation mechanics!
Mlie  [skapare] 29 apr, 2023 @ 10:36
@Tribsec Yes, the vanilla insulation mechanic is still active with this mod. That is just not visible.
Trinsec 29 apr, 2023 @ 9:37
Mmm, if non-insulated walls have absolutely no insulation value, then placing double walls thickness for walk-in freezers wouldn't be effective at all, would it? Or are they getting their insulation in a different way than this mod?
Mlie  [skapare] 29 apr, 2023 @ 9:33
@Trinsec Non insulated wall have no insulation, so their stats would be zero
Trinsec 29 apr, 2023 @ 9:27
Oh, okay, so the stat is not present on any non-insulated walls? I thought it'd be on every wall, so you could see how much better the insulated walls are. Thanks for clarifying!

How can I figure out how much insulation the non-insulated walls have? I'm just curious.
Mlie  [skapare] 29 apr, 2023 @ 4:45
@Trinsec its visible in the info window. Just be sure to build the insulated walls
Trinsec 29 apr, 2023 @ 2:52
Heya, I might be overlooking something, but I understand this adds an insulation stat to various walls? And is it visible to the average player or is it a hidden stat? Because I can't help but feel that I'm missing something here to see how well a certain wall insulates.
Mlie  [skapare] 22 mar, 2023 @ 23:19
@The Bard of Hearts Yes, you probably have some other mod that overwrites the vanilla wall def. Try the steps under ”Reporting Issues”
The Bard of Hearts 22 mar, 2023 @ 18:53
It seems the graphic for the walls no longer includes the actual insulation. It seems like it just shows the regular wall version instead. Do I have some kind of conflict or has this been changed? If so, can we get an option to have it still show the interior insulation as well.
Not Alexander 28 feb, 2023 @ 17:50
Ah, I see. Thanks for the update!
Mlie  [skapare] 28 feb, 2023 @ 13:09
@Not Alexander Yea the DDA Security and More-mod overwrites the vanilla wall-def that these walls inherit from. I left a request on that modpage for them to fix it.
Not Alexander 25 feb, 2023 @ 19:46
I've also noticed that the graphic for the walls have all changed to the appearance of marble, regardless of what material they were made of (Sandstone, granite, etc).
Not Alexander 25 feb, 2023 @ 19:19
Hi, first thanks for taking the time to maintain this mod, among others.
I've noticed after the recent update that the walls now require Reinforced Plates from the mod 'DDA Security and More' (all tiers of insulated walls.) Is this intentional, or perhaps caused by the change listed for 1.4.2?
Mlie  [skapare] 25 jan, 2023 @ 2:51
@Vartarhoz The stuff its made of affects the isolation percent, as well as the health of it. Generally metals is not a good isolator
Vartarhoz 24 jan, 2023 @ 23:32
Could be mod conflict? My "Silver Biomass Insulated Walls" shows as 0% but Bone is 25%
Mlie  [skapare] 24 jan, 2023 @ 9:26
@Vartarhoz Biomass walls have a heat transfer of 75%, so 25% isolation. 0% would be for example mesh walls or embrasures I think
