The assets are made with quite dark LUTs, which results in the brightness in default map themes. You could take a darker LUT, or adjust some things with the ultimate eyecandy mod.
Otherwise you could grab the Painter Mod, which allows you to tone down the buildings.

The ditch is by RonyX, the bridges are custom made with concrete plains, concrete pipes, and a fence-prop, together with a plop-able surface.
