How do you use hammers to make maps?

Strange, for most people it worked, the red line is normal with the type of compiling that i've used

Yeah, have been going around the whole first room pressing 'E'. But nothing happens. Also reinstalled Portal just now, but this didn't change anything. When I load this map I see a lot of red lines in console. But I'm not a console expert, so no idea if it means anything. Other maps work fine though.

Did you interact with the bed ?

So there should be a portal gun next to the sleeping quarters? I really don't see a portal gun anywhere. When I load a portal gun through console I still don't get past the first button.

Thanks for all the feedback on my Focus and Space Phase maps! At first I thought you were just an ungrateful steam subscriber but I had no idea you made these maps! I'm still working on new maps all the time and I'll try to use your advice to get better at hammer :)

This was a fun map. It looked pretty good and I liked the interactions (the falling door was a nice touch!) Heads up though: you can trap yourself in the observation room if you fizzle all the props before smashing the glass (I almost did this while screwing around)

I push the button, Cave speaks but nothing opens so I can't get out.
