Make sure you have your shield turned off before placing new blocks! If the shield is on then it won't let you place them ;)

thanks i will try the repair bay. i tried the blocks but couldn't get them to place.

You can repair the ship to template (using either a trade station or a BA Repair Bay) or you can build some CV Armored glass blocks and replace them manually

stupid question. Glass plates in the front got blown out. how do i replace them?

@Cambian its been a while since my Kestrel playtest but as i recall there is a spot in the ceiling for the RCS expansion, there is room on the front wing for swapping the M thrusters for Large thrusters. You can remove the T3 CPU blocks and the blocks with the green 'tech' texture next to them and replace them with the T4 CPU blocks. The turret placement is up to you as far as weapons and such. If you are looking for something a bit beefier my current project is my biggest endgame CV yet and will be posting it sometime next week hopefully...

Great looking ship! I love your other designs as well. Quick question: Did you have a place in mind to put the upgrades you mention above? Was scouting in Creative and didn't see obvious spots - maybe nix some of the living quarters or something? Thanks!

@Kheben I have no idea what endless sky is, but now i feel the need to check it out! I started out by trying to 'supersize' one of my starter CV's and then started to make changes and in the end i thought it looked a bit like a Klingon ship so i named it after a bird of prey. It started life as a supersized Rum Runner Corvette if you can believe that...

That is a great design, a little small for my likes.It however looks like it has some firepower and some smooth lines in it's build with some rugged texturing too.

It would make a decent scout ship, so maybe if I get some spare materials I will give it a chance..

Sadly I am already using many of my own designs for CV scout ships and using a size class 75 Enterprise 1701 that I redesigned totally to use as my main flag ship.

It has huge vehicle bays and I love my countless designs of various SV and HV.

Your design looks pretty solid though and I like the roof access hanger so maybe in the future just to see how well it works loaded it up into creative mode for a flight test.

This ship can fly like a fighter and rolls well.
