To anyone with a Steam Deck to get mods working you will need to set the launch command of Monster Train to the following

WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp=n,b" %command%

Doesnt work

Mods don't load on steam deck even with this installed and enabled in the menu. Unknown where the fault is, maybe this simply doesn't run right in Linux?

Use the "Mod Settings" menu inside the game itself on the main menu to enable the mod loader and browse mods.

I would verymuch like some additional explanation here, since the recent press release didn't say "Make sure you get BepinEx Mod Loader to be able to play any other mod".
EDIT: Ok, I found *some* official mention of this, but the description here ought to be a bit more descriptive and explanatory, ty
