Avoiding the DLC won't remove the icon. You still get an icon that pops up a prompt to download the DLC. You need mods to remove or change the icon.

I can confirm it still works guys, don't forgot to check the boxs both in the game properties on steam and next to the savefile on the title screen.


Rant time- Can't believe they put such an ugly eye poking icon on the hamlet and didn't leave an option to remove it. They have fallen low.

Best mod ever made, so tired of clicking on that accursed icon because it overlaps half the Stage Coach.

@erios567 It still works for me, but it would be nice to hear from someone else. I don't know what "box" in "Workshop" means. If you mean the "+ Subscribe" button on this page, it should always work. If not I would try using another browser, or using the Steam Client's page without a browser.

Does this still work for anyone else? If I check the checkbox in "Workshop", it just unchecks by itself and doesn't work...

Genuine thanks so much for this one. I'm a pretty finnicky person etc & that icon was just so ugly & out of place in the town menu. Also the fact it's just a 24/7 glowing-red in-game advert screaming at me to buy a failed DLC I have no interest in?!? rage-inducing lmaooo

@Cake for Mumm-Ra , I've only had two reports of people it didn't work for, 1) the -skiptutorial command line option disables the tech the mod uses to work, 2) a new player who didn't know how to enable mods with the blue hammer icon. If it's not one of those, I could look at a list of mods you're using and see if any conflict with this.

K thanks. I think it'll be fine as long as I eliminate the circus stuff. There seemed to be no problem importing and exporting on ipad/pc. Thanks for your mod though!

@Nocturnalverse I don't know anything about save compatibility between PC and IPad, but maybe someone else does. These mods are the only way of getting circus content out of the game. I suspect the circus icon is harmless (if annoying) because it isn't persistent like the journal. Claire's mod would be the most important here.

So is it correct, that this and the town event removal mod is the only way to get that ♥♥♥♥ out of my game? I'd like to go back and forth from PC to IPad, but if even 1 circus town event appears in the journal, the journal will crash the tablet edition and who knows what else.

I've done a full clean reinstall, disabled all the data sharing options, which did seem to have some effect on how the game dealt with saves as I was messing around. But that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Icon and town even still pop up. I've only done two dungeons, so I'm just going to start a clean save with your mod and the other mod so I hopefully don't have to worry about compatibility with the tablet edition.

I knew the modding community wouldn't let me down.

@thomasmiddleton3 Have you used mods before? You have to click a blue hammer icon to the right of the save, and enable the mods you want active in that save. The only thing I know that makes the mod not work is the -skiptutorial command line option, but if you have other ideas I can investigate it.

After some talk and test with Morsk, "-skiptutorial" was the bad guy and the icon correclty disappear. Thank you.

The only other mod I have is "No More Circus Town Events" (link from Grauer below)

@appleseed2010 I can try using it with any other mods you have, and seeing if there are conflicts I can fix.

I have added this mod and enabled it, but the icon is still there.
I even uninstalled the circus dlc in the steam interface.

It makes literally no sense that the icon keeps exist when I even delete the PVP DLC. Thank you so much.

Yes it's the same. I'd been experimenting with removing the icon for a while, but someone on the forum requested it today so I put it in a mod.

Hey, is this the same fix that you suggested on Clair's post earlier? I am currently using that one, but would obviously prefer a separate mod for it.
