it is a wood fuel power plant?

I love this MOD very much. It is perfect for HardMode, but i found 1 problem.
Could you please add a vehicle station. My truck is unloading in the driveway because there is no vehicle station. The problem appears when it is winter and the snowplow wants to clean the driveway. So it is blocked by the truck, and the truck is blocked by the snowplow. Catch-22.
Please add a vehicle station so the snowplow can clean the driveway and drives on.
A factory connection to an open storage would clear the situation too.

A pleasure

Oh, never mind... just reread your reply, and I see that you did exactly that... (sorry, reading this at 1:30am, so missed the detail!)

Why not the path of reducing the wood consumption? 😜
I think as a starter plant, using old as fuel would be preferred, but initially the energy needs are not that high, so 10-12 Mw output is just not needed. (And using that excess for export would be kinda cheaty imho, as it’s easy money)

I took the path of lower consumption of wood, because the plant is designed only for the start of the supply of coal to its power plant. Thank you very much for your suggestions, I liked your reasoning. If you would like us to take the 10 times more energy path, please leave your comment; and make a second version. Thank you.

I would propose either drastically increasing the power production (by factor of 10) or reducing the wood consumption (by same factor of 10) to make it a viable alternative. Otherwise any of the small "diesel" plants which use about 1-2t of fuel to produce the same 1 Mw of power (at much lower people requirement of about 2-5 workers)

I actually started noticing the problem when I couldn't even keep up the wood supply and I built it not far from the woodcutter, which is running fully staffed with 3 AT-T (25 t capacity) hauling wood non-stop. With one 12t truck assigned as dedicated supply, it barely kept up with keeping the plant stocked with wood (often not making the delivery in time, so it stopped producing power and forced me to resort to importing electricity, so the constant headache of managing supply IMHO not worth the trouble).

I basically looked at the comparison of small coal plant from Mauser's mod, which takes 12 people and consumes 12t of coal to produce 12 Mw of power. In comparison, the wood plant here takes 10 people (about the same) and 40t of wood (which is equal to 20t of coal) to produce ONLY 1.17 Mw of power. As you can see, the coal plant basically produces 1 Mw of power per 1 ton of coal per person, in this case we only get 1.17 Mw of power total at full load!!! This plant does cost 1/3 less to build, but the production is too small to compensate for it.

Thanks for your comments. I thought of this plant only for the start-up of the coal feed system for the coal-based power plant, which is much more efficient; But to begin with, in the game, the wood resource is practically free. I would like to know your data to make it more balanced (how much wood? How much energy?). Thank you very much.

Having tried this power plant, I’d say it needs balancing. It goes through wood at an astonishing rate! Compared to any modded or default coal power plant, it is more expansive in build cost and definitely in resource operation! With the charcoal burners generating coal from wood at rate 2 wood / 1 coal, it’s a LOT more efficient to go the coal route as the same wood gives you a lot more power as compared to here!
