The game only automatically expands the relic slots to 18, so if you want more than that, the mod seems to work.

To describe this mod as "working" would imply that it performs some function or task, but as we discovered in earlier comments, the base game accounts for large amounts of relics already, making this mod pointless. The only reason i leave it up in the first place is so when people search for something like it, they find this and realize it's unnecessary.

Just tested it, yeah the base game does that, which makes this mod pretty much pointless. I'll leave it up anyways though.
