Not a complaint, just putting that here for others if they encounter a similar issue.
WHat i came up with as vanilla "mod" to achieve this, apart from a max speed mod, was to add a simple hinge and put thrusters on it, being another grid the main RC won't drive them, so a timer used to activate the turbo after X seconds after reaching one waypoint and turning it off after the right time xD
This also allows AI spawned by encounter mods to be able to reach the physical speed limit of your world.
