Germany banned nazi imagery in video games from the 90s up until 2018. in previous Wolfenstein games, swastikas and other imagery were replaced with geometric symbols, or just removed. That may be part of the reason why the original uploader made it in the first place, when that ban was still in effect. Aside from that, some people (myself included) may need specific models for a scenebuild or animation and don't want those models plastered with nazi symbols (because if you want to make a project that just doesn't have anything to do with nazis, why would you just have that stuff there).

How is the fact of a Nazi soldier in AMERICA having 13 Nazi symbols on him ridiculous I find it to make sense but yes the fact that you have to cover up Nazi symbols and or remove them on the workshop is very much so retarded.

Personally, I find the removal of Nazi symbology on *literal Nazis* to be ridiculous.
It's Wolfenstein. You're fighting Nazis, and they're evil bastards. Might as well indicate them as such.

(Though to be honest, The New Colossus took the Nazi symbols way too far. The Regular Soldier has THIRTEEN Nazi icons on him. F*cking ridiculous, Machinegames)

Personally in the context of the plot of
the game it doesn't offend me but I can
understand how a lot of people don't like
seeing those symbols even though it's
a game where you're supposed to be
fighting against the Nazis. I really don't
like those symbols either because of the
evil they represent. But if they're in a game
where the Nazis are supposed to be the evil
guys (as they SHOULD be), it doesn't personally
offend me because of the context of the situation
in-game. Also I'm completely anti-Nazi. I fight
against and kill Nazi NPCs in Garry's Mod all
the time. And it's GREAT fun. :)

I hate the Nazis just as much as everyone
else does and I hate Hitler and the Holocaust
and I wish it had all never happened but-don't
take offense at this....it's a little bit extreme to
de-Nazify characters that in the game are supposed
to be Nazis when it's a game where they are the bad
guys and you're supposed to be fighting against them.
I mean....the purpose of the game is good-you're battling
them because they're evil...therefore I don't think anyone
should take offense (in this SPECIFIC case). However,
that being said, the rise of national socialism was one of
the darkest and most evil events in human history and I
hope with all my heart that it never happens again. My
heart hurts for all the innocent Jewish people who suffered
and died because of the Holocaust. I hope that it never
happens again. It was evil and horrible and should never
be repeated.

Well, sometimes people like the models and want to use them for their game but kinda don't want the symbols on them...
