Nuri meant the backpack inventory, not the tent's one. IRL, tent is attached outside of a backpack, so the backpack has its own inventory and is not transformed into a tent, while lossing its inventory.
My own suggestion would be to add a foam camping mat with proxy of laying person to the tents that have interior. This way, you could actually go inside and sleep - nice for any RPG way of playing and kinematics.You think it's doable?
That's beyond the scope of this mod i'm afraid.
I'm not sure I understand about losing your stuff though, the tent has an Inventory so any gear that you store in your tent will still be there the next time you assemble it.

No, the respawn function has been removed to make way for a simple tent with an Inventory.
This doesn't affect the vanilla respawn backpacks which are still available in the Editor. ;)
