i can't seem to use callouts in the 7 or 8 slots? i've tried to unbind them both, but even after relaunching it still won't let me use those slots

yes it depends on many changes not present in reuploads of older versions
mainly how modules interact with hook library (older versions don't have a wrapper and require splitting hooks into separate non-module lua files)

Heads up to anyone getting the weapons menu when they press the number key — you might be using the "Player Callouts Redefined" version of TFA-VOX, which doesn't seem to work with this addon, instead of the original TFA-VOX. See which one you've got installed.

To help anyone still having issues: Make sure your number keys are bound to the appropriate "Weapon Category" in Options / Keyboard.

yo man you didnt explain the mod thats why lots of people say the mods broken
i've bound p for the callout menu but it only shows me cancel on the left side of the monitor
why? dunno really i got all the required mods

if anyone else is having trouble getting this to work, try opening tfa_vox_vgui_open and check if the option "Callouts: Classic Menu" is checked. if not, turn it on and try the tfa_vox_callout_panel command again
