No matter what I do, I can't seem to get "WOTC - Expanded Information" to actually work. I've tried subscribing to the entire collection (in case there was an unlisted dependent mod). I've tried deactivating all mods except "WOTC - Expanded information". I'm using the Alternate Mod Launcher. Everything else seems to be working, but not that one for some reason.

It requries a DLC, I guess could mention it as optional.

Is there a reason why "Alien Hunters Community Highlander" is not included in the optional mods list?

The issue with Gotcha Again Redux is that it contains Peek From Concealment module enabled by default, which alters gameplay. The Core Collection explicitly avoids modifying gameplay outside the bugfixes. GAR is the better mod, objectively, but you have to actually read what it does and use Mod Config Menu to make it not alter gameplay. I should probably mention it in the ALTERNATIVE MODS page, but that's it.

What other examples are you talking about?

Good evening. Currently there are multiple contradictions between the 3 links of mods you should use or not and the mods that are part of the Collection. For example, the collection inclued the mod '[WOTC] Gotcha Again', however the link to the reddit post especifically says to not use that mod and instead use '[WOTC] Gotcha Again redux'. There are more exemples of these. Thank you for the collection

Running all the mods on this list, no other mods. Game is crashing when trying to "View Soldiers" in the Armory. THoughts?

Gotcha Again Redux will not be a part of the Core Collection as long as it has Peek From Concealment changes enabled by default, becuase it's a gameplay-altering change. Missclick Protection enabled by default can also be confusing to players. But GAR itself is an overall improvement upon GA, so if you're fine with those changes, or disable them yourself, it's perfectly fine to use it.

This is intended unmodded behavior. You can try the Don't Unequip mod.

You haven't actually asked any questions there, but it's not my mod, I'm not sure what kind of input you expect there. I never noticed this issue, but I don't look too closely at portraits in general. I'm sure it'll catch up to soldier appearance changes eventually.

Hi Iridar I had some questions I wanted to ask you. With configurable headshots, I noticed that when my soldiers go on resistance ring missions they default back to their original appearance so if I make a soldier male and swap them to female with modded clothes and they go on that ring mission some time later their photo in the barracks will go back to being a male soldier with default clothes on (if using wraith armor it will show with that equipped, no modded hairstyle too)

Another thing is do you use any map mods and if so what map mods do you use? I used most of eclipsezr's standalone map mods but saw when I save there's no photo of the map like in vanilla maps and didn't really like that and removed all my map mods. Apart from the UFO eclipsezr map mod everything ran pretty stably for me.

Following the link to the list of superseded mods, the "WOTC Show Enemies and Terrain on Mission Planning" mod is said to be superseded by the "WOTC Full Shadow Report" mod, but this isn't actually reflected in the collection list. Is there a reason for this, or is this just something that needs updating?

No fixes to it though it still happens with mods enabled although without any mods it doesn't happen. I mean if I'm on vanilla xcom I won't have this problem but in wotc with and without mod it still happens weirdly. I think I';; just have to suck it up and ignore it then.

I don't know what could be causing this issue, I suggest doing a binary search to figure out which mod is causing it.

I.e. just disable mods until the issue goes away, whichever you disabled last is probably the cause.

Still having the same problem after verifying through Steam and deleting config files. Below are the only mods I've added that aren't cosmetic (like heads, hairs, or armors). Maybe a cosmetic mod is causing this issue, but I've had this ever since downloading all the mods from the collection. Extra mods used: No Stinking Fatigue, Zoomier Zombie Animations, Empty WOTC Deco Slots, [WOTC] Clean Soldier Generation, [WOTC] Configure Avenger Defense XCOM Reinforcement, [WOTC] Unified Gremlin and Bit Movement Speed, DLC Breakthroughs Support, [WOTC+TLP] Plasma Fan Fire Fix, Sacrifice Targeting Fix, [WOTC] Sparks T-Pose Auto-detector, Sparks T-Pose Fix, WOTC Flawless, [WOTC] Zombies Don't Count, WOTC Idle Suppression LITE + WOTC Idle Suppression, Remove Missing Mods for WOTC, [WOTC] AI to AI Activations, [WOTC] Tunnel & Abandoned Lighting Maps, Rend The Lost, [WOTC] Fair Lost Targeting, [WOTC] Alien Hunters Community Highlander.

Also would like to report that this collection has been super stable, only ran into 2 bugs during 60 hours of game play since I've downloaded the collection, one bug being the zip line crash which seemed pretty common when I asked around online while the second bug was the white screen camera bug. It went away by itself on one occasion after I finished the mission and the other time I had to reload way back before the bug happened and it didn't come back. Looking forward to seeing what other mods you're planning to put in if there are any at all. Currently validating my game right now and I can confirm without any mods I don't have any trouble with it so yeah it's looking like one of the mods I've added in is causing me trouble or steam didn't properly download the mods properly.

I don't understand what leg customization issue you're talking about, a screenshot would help, but either way I don't know what could be causing it. Assuming it's one of the mods you have, should be a matter of some effort of turning mods off to find out which one.

Soundtrack Restoration isn't part of this collection, not sure what I have to do with it.

Wrote a comment on the soundtrack restoration mod, might want to know that it can cause crashes (for me at least, I have checked multiple times with just that mod enabled + essential mods with AML + crash logs to determine it's a consistent crash in tactical legacy pack) but otherwise in normal wotc gameplay I don't seem to have had any problems but I'll re download the mod to see if it comes up again.

Thanks for this collection, I've just been having some minor issues with zoomed in the legs section of customizing a soldier is, for men and women respectively. Instead of it being like the normal 1080 p resolution its more like 720 p. Legs, thighs and shins all have this problem. I don't have any other ui mods apart from everything in this collection + some other extra mods you've mentioned in the core collection page eg the mod you need if you have alien dlc. Other mods I've got is purely cosmetic mods or something like clean soldier generation which goes under cosmetic and stuff like remove missing mods wotc, ai to ai activation's, rend the lost, fair lost targeting. Is there any fix for this? Searched up on reddit some others have had this problem but the threads are all from 2-3+ years back and they don't state what caused this. Didn't have this problem in vanilla xcom 2 if that helps.

Please follow the procedure explained in the collection's description to suggest mods.
Most of these are already included into the collection, rejected or under review.

[WOTC] Tactical HUD Lag Fixes I think should be considered.
[WotC] Part Names for Vanilla Armors : Localisation edit for Vanilla. Last updated in 2022, unsure if included in Highlander.

Also woops I didnt see the alternative collection that mentions the other scrollbar mod. The recent comments seemed to suggest Smooth Scrolling can have issues.

Anyway, confirm that your game works with no mods enabled, and if it does, try using only Highlander. Chances are, that's the cause of the crash. The Highlander workshop description has a link to Highlander troubleshooting page, which has instructions for copying some files to CookedPCConsole, try doing that.
