Check sources in description, Im sure u can try download it and just replace materials in folders from this addon. To download from steam workshop, u can use Steam CMD with following command "workshop_download_item 4000 2160286637" and extract gma file with some apps

I'm sorry I don't quite understand what you want, if you wanna know what this particular addon replaces. It changes the 1st and 3rd person models, and their visual effects. Also if you want sounds and projectile tracers, check the necessary addons

Sorry, but functions like ammo indicator or some particles, works on basic gmod's lua scrips,
and I have no idea how to squeeze all that into the HL2 engine itself. T~T

@3650 Sorry but I'm no longer playing gmod, you can check my old SMG Remake , where the models, sounds and effects have been replaced except tracers.
Also about addon compatibility, it's no possible because both addons uses same c_model, but with different hands.

(Also so when I said I want an smg remaster I wasn't talking about the REMAKE. I wanted a what you did with the ar2 remaster: sound replacement, model replacement, and tracer remake that is what I want when I mean REMASTER!) This is so high quality i want more like that's why I ask.

@Coolvetica No, unfortunately the effects are defined in the QC of the model itself. Also it's not that easy, vanilla weapons aren't exactly lua-ish after all.

It's not that simple, plus it ruins the idea of an ammo counter like in hl alyx. Also there's an addon on workshop that already adds weapons from mmod with own lua based animations, that aren't easy to do with vanilla animations.

@_Nemez_ You can do it by yourself, its not that hard, just extract sounds from mod what you need and put it in same patch with same names that game uses. Like "GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons\Your_Addon\sound\weapons\ar2\fire1.wav" etc.
Also I don't plan on making addons anymore, and gmod doesn't interest me anymore, sorry :c

@Gordon? GORDAN! Its just animated material with 31 frames, that changes by custom mat proxy that checks ammo count, yeah pretty tricky but I'm not good at lua and there are probably better ways.
