It is indeed updated for 4.0, but i did forget to remove the 3.14 patch from dependencies. I've also removed PSP from the dependencies as well, since it has been getting progressively more distant.

I'm also working on a variant mod that will cover all of the Forgotten Empires precursors as well as those from Hydra/kroun's various precursor mods. It's designed to cover the option of having all precursors available by divvying out modifiers between precursor systems based on thematics. hoping to release it soon.

Alright thanks man, looking forward to an update. I've had a bit of time to try it and it seems like its working alright (insofar as not breaking anything) but I don't know if it actually affects the story pack precursors as I haven't run into one yet.

Also, I'm assuming this is patching Forgotten Empires now, seeing as its in the required and its the only one up to date? Maybe it'd be worth updating the name of the mod to a Forgotten Empires comp patch for clarity if so? Anyways thanks for your work on this

I haven't yet updated it for 4.0, so no guarantees, but I don't think it should give too many problems. I just noticed Guili's update about 10 minutes before your comment, so I plan on working on an update as soon as i can.

@Count BlingBlangula Sorry for the late reply, Holidays and all. So, the short answer to your question is yes, and this is it. I need to do some updates to the description to reflect this, but because of how Forgotten empires implemented the system initializers, you need to have one of the two, either PSP or FE, and the mod can support both. Though given PSPs official abandonment for so long, i may just drop it from the requirements, since I'm not 100% sure how well it even works anymore.

GPM recently got a pretty big update. Is this still working with it?

Yes, it will still add the GPM precursor modifiers and precursor shipyard to the systems in Precursor Story Pack, and it's still fully compatible with it. So far, there hasn't been any changes to either the base game or GPM that would cause any issues, as far as I've seen, so that combination should still work just fine.

I bring this up just to ensure you're looking at the correct file for comparison. As to the mentions of Guilli's mod in the Forgotten empires code, you are correct that there are a few. However, with regards to the only file impacted by this mod, those mentions are simply the setting of a flag which serves only to disable any use of GPM content on those systems. I respect that Inny made the design choice to do that, but that decision is pretty much antithetical to the whole idea behind this mod. So yeah, I overwrite that change completely. In other respects, however, i try to hew as closely to Inny's version as possible. I hope that clears things up.

So, i need to clarify this in the descriptor, but because of a quirk in how Inny implemented the system initializers in Forgotten Empires, this mod actually simultaneously and independently overwrites for compatibility with both the original PSP mod and Forgotten Empires. Because Inny's implementation of the systems uses a a different identifier for the systems (replacing the pspmod prefix with scfe), there's both the original overwrites in one file, for backwards compatibility, and the new ones in another.

The mod Forgotten Empires by Inny [The Merger] incorporates some of the precursor stories and also appears to mention Guili's mod in the code so thinking its been made to also take it into consideration.

Just thought I'd mention that here as your mod currently overwrites some changes from Forgotten empires.

Sorry for the delayed response, I've been trying to figure out the substantial changes to Planetary diversity for one of my other mods. 3.12 didn't really touch it at all. I've pushed a new update which adds support for the Z'knar home system in response to changes in Forgotten Empires, but it's not in any way critical. No changes to existing functionality, so it should run the same pre- and post-patch.

Yeah, it is indeed in a working state. I need to get the version compatibility updated, but I was originally waiting on an update to GPM, but there hasn't been anything so far. Not entirely surprising, since Eridanus was more a bug squash than a gameplay change. in any case, as of yet there's no meaningful change to any dependency of the mod, so it should be good at least until Guilli decides to patch. Probably afterwards too.

New update released! The mod is now updated to be compatible with Inny's Forgotten Empiures mod. The great news about this is that, because of how Inny incorporated the system initializers, support can be maintained in the mod for both Legacy Precursor Story Pack users and Forgotten Empires users with no conflicts. I've listed both mods in requirements right now, but really it's an either/or.

I'm happy to report that, at least to my inspection, this should be working with 3.7 and the latest versions of both GPM and PSP, and i've updated the version to reflect that. There may be some possible improvements with the new Archaeotech stuff, but anything would be a scope increase for the mod. I'm open to suggestions, if anyone has any, but for now it's meeting my stated goals.

Does this still work as it is? Gulli's latest update changed a lot of stuff, but from a cursory check of the patch notes it seems to be mostly galaxy generation / spawn numbers with the precursor stuff.

Sorry folks! I somehow got unsubscribed from my own mod's thread. Couple that with not having been able to play much and i didn't even realize that Guilli had changed the shipyards. The mod is now updated for the new functionality!

Except guilli changed the precursor shipyard mechanics this one is using the old one. It has to be updated.

Works with 3.3.2 for me.
This mod "just" adds Guilli's modifiers (i.e. the lines of code that spawn them) to the new precursor systems. As long as Guilli does not change his modifier names or the precursor systems are changed (or paradox changes the way how modifiers are added) this mod should basically be fine. You can always check this yourself by comparing this mod's file !!pspmod_system_initializers.txt with precursor story pack's pspmod_system_initializers.txt

@liquidsnake you place any comp mods or mods that require others after those they require in irony. Irony loads from top down that means the mod in spot #1 will load before mod in spot #27, this also means #27 will override #1,

Took me a while to get back into the groove, but i'm glad to announce that this mod is now updated for the latest version of the game. By which i mean that i changed the supported version number, because nothing much has changed that this mod cares about.

@Liquid Snake, sorry for the delayed response. This is actually the first i've heard of Irony, so i'll have to check it out and get back to you.
