I spent ages trying to set up the foraging job in a town, the corpse furnace fix wasn't an option so I thought I was SOL, but this job did the trick!!

This isn't mentioned anywhere but you need to research it first. You can find it in Other and it's called Foraging. It costs 1 book. Once researched it can be found in the build menu under STORAGE called Foraging bin. It costs 2 building material. This mod is still working

@Sarge_85 Sorry I forgot to respond :(

If you wanna download the mod into FCS you can see how I added them. If you give a bin the ability to hold an item, auto-haul will add them to the bin.

I reread your comment and I'm thinking maybe you meant stripping their gear and weapons though? I don't believe FCS has that capability :(

@MarkusAquarius I only take into account vanilla features, I'd rather not have foul meat clutter which is useless in vanilla (yes I know things can eat it, but legit 1 worth 1 hunger point so effectively not useful compared to it's space)

Cool only Your wrong about a few things... Foul meat is useful for a vast number of things, One many animals and modded characters, as well as vanilla hivers can eat foul meat. Foul meat can be turned into spicy jerky with "meat reclaimation" crafting table, orb Griseled Flaps in a stove. just saying... make a seperate bin for foul meat or make it work with this already available foul meat storage container...

@Aphelion dude that would be awesome. im the type that loves to collect all the things and use everything for one purpose or another especially in a apocalyptic setting so if you could make that happen i would be totally and immensely thrilled by it :D

@Sarge_85 what you’re thinking is possible and I even considered adding that as a separate mod. I’ll be on later to check where it is because I haven’t used the FCS in a long time except for minor balance changes to make the game a bit more difficult

how did you figure out how to add teeth and such to the foraging list? and can that be translated to apply to humanoid npcs so that those corpses can be flagged for auto collection as well as the animals?

i really want to auto loot ALL the dead corpses around my base and strip everything clean then carry the bodies to a station for limb harvesting then chuck the torso in a biofuel plant so nothing gets wasted. (like rimworld or fallout 4)

i want everything to be used but cant figure out how to mod the files right.

any help would be immensely helpful.

Tried this in a base setup. It doesn't work perfectly with automation. Characters can end up shuffling materials instead of picking them up, much like the problem with robotics containers.

As an example, a cook who wants raw meat might pick up skins instead, and end up in an infinite loop of picking up and ditching materials.

I know that using it in a base isn't what it's intended for, just letting you know.

I use the foul meat to create animal rations, so I would welcome an option for that to be included. Great mod in any case!

Great idea for a mod, it is anoying that in the vanilla "Auto Forage" job doesnt take skin and teeth into account, specially wen skins are quite profitable. Its even more anoying wen i also have other charaters sending corpses to the furnace with all the animal skin and teeth inside, just wasting money away... i will try this mod soon
