I had this installed and it was fun but I started a new save without it,when I got my first prisoners there was still crime_antisovietpropagande

Yeah that's fair enough, I had moved away from the game for quite a long time as well when the game was sold. I had just gotten back into it for a little while recently and this had always been my favourite mod. It seems to still work fine on the current version so I don't think there's any pressure for an update

Honestly, I haven't been playing the game a lot ever since Paradox took over. I might be able to push out an update sometime, but my heart isn't really in it anymore.

I love this mod because it makes the prison look old fasion thing and really cool, but it sucks that it does not show things like the cooking ingrediants.

@SpaceFish the reason it's not showin' is because you have a textures that conflict with the Gulag item.

@Mara I just updated it for compatibility with the "The Pen" update. This should mean that it is also compatible with the new DLC, but I cannot test it since I don't own the DLC. If you find something that isn't working, please tell me.

@Antonin I just checked, you don't actually need to enable anything, you should get Russian names for all new arrivals out of the box. Two things to keep in mind: This may not work together well with other mods that modify the same name/convictions file. Also the "Name in the game" prisoners will still show up, most of them with English-sounding names.

For the people that are playing the new Anniversary Edition (2015 or 2018): I made a version of this mod compatible with those editions for you. You can find them as "Gulag (2015)" and "Gulag (2018)" on the workshop.

I began a new game with this mod, but the prisoners do not have Russian names. Is there a way to enable Russian names?

@Dr. Breen I was a little hesitant to update, expecting that I would not be able to mod the DLC and updated content (as was the case with the first Double Eleven update). The good news: the new rock update is modable, and I have done just that and pushed out an update. Anyways, nice suggestion, there is a Stalin statue now!

@Stotin: It affects visuals, the names of inmates, what they are convicted for. The core gameplay remains unaffected. Oh, and regular armed guards get an AK47.
