This is a very good set and it's sad people have downvoted it likely due to downloading the wrong version or not understanding the waste transfer system.

Do you have a pre-configured road layout for the center you made, as an intersection or a top-down screenshot?

Wow, this is awesome. It's like a mini-Industries DLC for garbage! I can confirm this is NOT a colossal waste of time! Haha!

@PompeyRoyalCT: Ah! That one might simply process garbage so efficiently, that it doesn't leave anything for mine. Basically, they need a building with garbage stored to go pick it up anywhere, so if you have efficient garbage options already, they won't have anything to do.

Personally I like using them with my own drop-off. I have those sit around the city to collect garbage, and then the recycling centers pick it up. But landfills, the default recycling center or the waste transfer station would also work.

@Avanya I had the large recycling center mod for that.

@PompeyRoyalCT: Do you have any landfills or recycling centers, they can pick up garbage from? Remember, they don't collect it from your citizens, you need other options for that.

@Avanya I put all of the buildings in my city together but none of them are operating I'm not sure why?

@dranna: Vilamno has it right. The old ones are practically incinerators, which pick up garbage from your city. These new ones are based on the waste processing facility and pick up garbage from landfills, recycling centers, waste transfer stations and any other garbage buildings you might have.

What is the difference from the previous collection?

@vilamno: I honestly can't remember. The buildings aren't based on a specific facility though, that much I do remember. I think I gathered a handful of reference images and then picked a style I liked. Then I researched what goes into recycling different materials to get a sense of what each building should have (chimneys, water tanks, storage etc). For each building I just started with a few cubes and made a combination I thought looked nice. Then added all the relevant details. :)
