@TurtleShroom when you take power usage per household from this game and compare it to real-life statistics it's pretty clear that the game uses MW/day (24hrs) instead of MW/h so 10MW actually means 400kWh. If you care about realism you should also know that substations don't even generate electricity. For the most part, they only boost the voltage up or down.

I feel like I've seen this building, in this condition, in every town of the Midwest that I've lived in; usually near the town factory/mill/plant that shut down in the '80s. I can almost hear the birds flapping about in there.
